It's going to be a maroon and battle as two storied college football programs rekindle a rivalry, this time as conference foes. USC is lucky this isn't a November game, I look forward to that in the future.

Gophers need to find that 2nd half Michigan swagger and bring it for 60. We must play a complete game to win this. We desperately need this game and at home, night game, crowd rocking, this is a game we should get. It won't be easy, their offense is potent. Well our D is legit too.

Take the shackles off Max and let him cook.

GET 'ER DONE FLECK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the editing error:

My dad, who graduated in 1961, attended the the 1961 Rose Bowl,; told me once that the Gophers ran a crazy kick off, backwards pass play against USC at Memorial Stadium. That was 50 years before my time, but maybe someone was there that day at Oak and University and recalls that.
Gophers beat USC at Memorial in 1955. I called Sid for comment but it went right to voice mail.

That late push against Michigan was huge for the sanity and confidence of our locker room and fanbase. I'm expecting our guys to come out with some swagger and extra juice tonight. An upset like this would be so big for our program. Massive opportunity for Robinson and Walley to make some noise against a big and deep WR room. I also hope we come out and let Max continue to sling it around. LET'S GOOOOOO

Oak - I was at that game. I was a student at the time. Cross field lateral resulted in TD return and Gopher lead late in the game. On their following possession, USC gave the ball to OJ for 6 or 7 straight carries and the game winning TD. Gophers could not stop him. He turned out to be a pretty good back in the NFL. ;)

USC will field better athletes than the Gophers today for sure. Grit and attitude can overcome this but we'll have practically zero margin for error. Can't have drive killing offsides called on us today, plus our defensive backs are going to have to play physical but clean pass defense. Could be a tall order but the Billds will be there yelling our heads off. Go Gophers!

One huge improvement would be no "arm twitch" false starts from our young Center. These are self-inflicted drive killers against a ranked team. We need a fair shot on each offense drive. Go Gophers.

USC has explosive play ability, which I hope we can harness. Hope our defensive backfield is healthy and or DL fired up. A complete game by the Gophers would include executing a creative and aggressive offense beginning with drive no. 1. In P4 games, PJ's teams are notorious for slow offensive starts at the beginning of the game, and for confused and soft defensive starts after the half. Those tendencies will could be a death sentence against USC. Go for the jugular all game long. Go Gophers.

After his first completion I plan to post "Can you smell what The Max is cooking"

What are the odds folks park in their assigned spots in the Minnesota lot this time?

First year I parked there it was great, but man I don't get it, they're numbered assigned spots and this year folks can't seem to do it ...

Like everyone else, I hope the “questionable” Walley can go tonight. Nice that Robinson, Green, and Gousby are absent from the injury report.. JLR was a surprise I think, but I haven’t followed the news much. USC stud LB out as expected.
Gentry out is huge. Has a nose for the ball and is tough to throw around and over

Yup, someone parked in my spot.

I don’t get it. Assigned spots big numbers… plenty of open spots and they still can’t get it right.
