Aesthetically, that was one of the most enjoyable Gopher basketball games to watch in a long time. Gophers really executed well and shot it well on offense and even on defense, UCLA made quite a few long 2's which I was more than happy for them to take. The Durkin 3's were the story of the game, but I continue to love how many layups we generate in the half court. Under Pitino/Johnson, anything we got at the rim was usually off the bounce and heavily contested. Listening to Cronin after the game was interesting. He said our offense provided a unique challenge to the weakness of his defenders (I assume communication and attentiveness off ball) and he thought about just sitting in a zone because of it, but the one possession they went zone they messed up immediately.
