Curious when the last time they played a game without a Gopher scoring in double digits? in the 1950's?
Oh well, saved by Ola-Joseph.

Olo-Joseph with a couple dunks and a couple more shoulders.

There, I said a nice thing.

JOJ did have a good game, with a difficult match-up for him, so hats off to him. At this point he is really the only bonified B1G freshman we have at this point. I am confident he will be a player, can't say that for the others.

Henley looks brutal

Carrington was blah

And Payne concerns me because he has no shot, and is probably about as big and physical as he will get. Is he going to get a ton better.

Everything is horrible.

Zero offensive skills. ZERO.

Well, I take that back. He has shooting range out to 0 ft 0 inches.

Payne clearly is a legit Big Ten freshman although he is rawer and less confident than Ola Joseph. I think Ola Joseph benefitted greatly from playing his final year at that prep where he faced great competition (including from his own team). Payne probably would be better if he had done the same.

Yeah Payne is the next possibility, but he just keeps committing the same errors, and as you said has zero outside shot. I am hopeful for him, but I guess we will see.

Payne battles and does some good things defensively for a freshman, but he has no offensive game yet. Henley is a hot mess. JOJ is strong. We need scorers and creators desperately.

Purdue is an impressive team. Well constructed and coached.

Could have been worse. Could have lost to the 7-13 Fighting Roos by 21.
