2-0, albeit not pretty, but 2-0 nonetheless. One thing I do know, we will have to play better than we did against Omaha to beat a solid North Texas team. This is not a gimmie game for a program like ours the way we're playing early. We don't have many offensive options right now and our D is meh. Lots of room for improvement with this team.

But this is a game we have to win if we want to get to 22, can't afford any non-conference home loses.

GET 'ER DONE JOHNSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A snapshot look at the North Texas Mean Green:
Record (vs. D1 opponents): 1-0 (beat Evansville 80-63)
Note: Scored 80 points in both games.
3 averaging double figures: Atin Wright (16), Jasper Floyd (14), Johnathan Massie (12.5)

KenPom: #73
Bart Torvik: #78
Haslametrics: #92

Haslametrics only one of the three with UNT ranked higher (Gophers #94).

Press conference preview for North Texas (talks a lot about the Omaha game)

Atin Wright was definitely fun to watch at Drake last season. He’ll get his 14-16 pretty much no matter what, but hopefully we can make him as inefficient as possible. Career avg. outside of freshman season - 14.5 & 16.7 (CSU Northridge), 14.1 (Drake), 16ppg this year.

What injury does Cochran have? Have we heard much about this? Is this a season ending injury?

Regardless if Garcia plays or not (sounds like he’ll be out there), this will be a close game. UNT is one of those teams you don’t want to play in the NCAAs when they make it. We’re at home so I say we pull it out late 67-61.

Does it matter that three, maybe four (Cochran), of our starters are out? Yeah.
That wasn't my question though. The discussion was about Garcia.

If this team cannot win if Garcia is out, then just chalk up the Gophers as last place in the B1G.
