I'm glad someone said it. He's played about 70% of the available minutes, so you can't say they haven't played him much, and "not so great" is being nice when you look at the numbers. He's a true frosh, and he's getting experience, so that's something. But he is bad now.

He's far from bad. He's just not aggressive yet. He doesn't turn it over much, he hustles, gets boards (10 today) and shows that he is willing to move the ball. He should be playing the point more- the minutes are fine, how he is used....not so great.
 



Asuma has shot poorly over the season. So has every other guard on the team that isn't hurt.
Today, Asuma's 3 point shooting was 50% (1-2). He made two clutch freethrows to give us a chance. He had 10 rebounds.

Those who are whining about Asuma, tell us who should be playing.
 


Just because Asuma’s been bad doesn’t mean anyone is better (actually, Mike Mitchell would be if he were healthy). Odukale and Rigsby numbers are even worse. But call it like it is - he's been bad. That doesn't mean he can't improve, it just means he's been bad.

Garcia is the only decent player, and everyone can see that.

Also, Patterson is taking way too many midrange shots.

Asuma hasn't been bad. Good grief.
 

90% on Ben Johnson and 10% on Fox and Patterson for terrible defense.. Fox is guarding the 7 footer who is a non threat so it’s like playing 4 on 5…

The 7 footer slips the screen and Patterson hesitates almost like he expects contact…half ass attempt by Patterson… Patterson leaves way to much space..Fox should not of even worried about his man and hedged or doubled hard.. pretty basic… know who you are guarding.. Fox is slow to react and should have been a step out farther out.. Fox gets a hand up but late.. Fox’s guy slips the screen and dives to the hoop terrible recognition..
