He's eventually going to get hisI do like Shinholster’s hustle
The whole "woe is us" line is just plain crap.I'm going to say that many nascent programs would love to be us. 50,000 enrollment and that many more alumni than practically any institution, so an enviable pool of potential donors. Being in a large city can be a disadvantage, but we've also seen the advantages in our time. This has been the toughest ticket in town and the talk of the town at its best. You'll never dissuade me of the potential of this situation. To me, some people's unconditional pessimism is wholly illogical.
I'm a bit surprised Sendek never got another Power 5 shot. Maybe he didn't want one.SC coach has had a great strategy to press constantly when we are so short staffed.
Combine it with SC shooting lights out and you have a 31 point deficit.
This is mostly from exhaustion and dead legs. Two games, back to back, with an undermanned squad and you get 13% shooting. We are shooting 13% from3
Exactly!! All the excuses. We are terrible. The whole "woe is us" line is just plain crap.
There isn't a single solitary reason this program can't be successful.
Call me crazy, but I'd consider ditching this stupid zone after about the 30th 3 pointer.SC coach has had a great strategy to press constantly when we are so short staffed.

Oh FFS.This is mostly from exhaustion and dead legs. Two games, back to back, with an undermanned squad and you get 13% shooting.
You're the one saying "woe is us."The whole "woe is us" line is just plain crap.

On paper (preseason KenPom), this was a top-75 roster. That's part of what's so aggravating about this. What is shocking to me is that these are the guys Niko brought in to the program? That is extremely concerning. Gotta give him an F on that grade. He better step up big time or he’ll end up the worst coach in Gopher history.
It is clear that you never, ever, played college ball. It's likely you were, at best, a bench warmer on the JV team.Oh FFS.
Stop it. Two games? Seriously?
It would help to have 2 injured starters and 1 (maybe 2) rotation guys in the lineup. Need to be healthy and stable before I’m ready to make definitive declarations about this team.We have a lot more NIL than Santa Clara- yet Santa Clara has a lot more talent on the floor. We will need cash but Niko is going to have to find the right guys as well.
There wasn't enough depth and 1-2 injuries caused it to collapse. Much like a few of Pitino's teams. On paper (preseason KenPom), this was a top-75 roster. That's part of what's so aggravating about this.
A la Tommy AmakerI'm a bit surprised Sendek never got another Power 5 shot. Maybe he didn't want one.
Have you forgot the number of guys who DNP due to injury? Between you and USAF your basketball IQ can't be higher than 50.On paper (preseason KenPom), this was a top-75 roster. That's part of what's so aggravating about this.
I love the ignore button.12 three pointers. This gopher team is a bunch of bums. Would they even win the MIAC d3 league this year? Do they defend at all?
If we're on par with a "majority" of the other teams in the B1G then that would seem to imply that Niko can't identify and "buy" talent and/or mold them into any resemblance of a "team". Not even Ben's teams were this poor from a fundamental standpoint. They are being allocated ~$6 million from the revenue sharing. It's not where I'm sure Indiana/MSU etc are but it's probably on part with the majority of the B1G.
You're right about that, of course, but the individual players have underperformed their histories (aside from Tyson over last year).Have you forgot the number of guys who DNP due to injury? Between you and USAF your basketball IQ can't be higher than 50.
He didn't get the right PG and that hurts a lot. I think he was counting on bringing Evans and didn't have an adequate back-up plan when UNC nabbed him. JCJ and Tyson can play. Durkin is OK when he's just a role player. If we're on par with a "majority" of the other teams in the B1G then that would seem to imply that Niko can't identify and "buy" talent and/or mold them into any resemblance of a "team". Not even Ben's teams were this poor from a fundamental standpoint.
Whether you liked the Medved hire or not, this is some embarrassing stuff and my cup of patience has runneth empty for this program. That's not Niko's fault but it's the reality I live in as a Gopher fan.
In the parlance of the "love languages" book, your love tank was low going into this new regime, and it didn't take long for that to be exhausted. It's how we're all feeling. If we're on par with a "majority" of the other teams in the B1G then that would seem to imply that Niko can't identify and "buy" talent and/or mold them into any resemblance of a "team".
