OFFICIAL MINNESOTA VS MICHIGAN LITTLE BROWN JUG IN-GAME THREAD

My squirrel's lost his nut screaming with me. This one is on the coaches. What a let down. We've had them in our sights and we breathe some life to their green freshman QB.

I've never seen such incompetent clock management. Just a complete failure on the coaching staff.

And yet he still only managed to complete, what, 50% or less of his passes with some really, REALLY lucky passes that could have easily been intercepted.....

He is terrible. He missed a pretty easy pass to Lingen early in the game that should have been a TD. Not a difficult throw or read.

Did you see those completions on the final drive? All-American-like in the most critical part of the game.

Those last two plays were the most idiotic decisions I've seen in a long time. There are 19 seconds left and we barely ran two plays. Is Jedd Fisch back in the house. HORRIBLE

You are high off your a$$ to criticize Mitch tonight. Seriously. We faced the best defense in the nation tonight. He was outstanding.

This was not a roll the dice situation.

The QB sneak should've been called on the first play instead of shifting and wasting 9 seconds.

Convert and we win. Short we still have 8 or so seconds to take one more shot before kicking a FG.

Shameful.

I'm talking about the last play. With two seconds on the clock, you kick the FG.

They better spent lots of time on film to see what lousy game management at the end they did.

Life as a Gopher fan.

Yup. I agree. Just hoping that when we play Wisc w/ a 4-7 record maybe they can muster up energy to win something a la Coach Horton a few yes ago

< 50% completion with a lot of luck mixed in.

The bar is set SO low here.

I'm one of the ones that complain about Mitch the most, that said, he played lights out against the #1 ranked defense in college football. If not for the stupid coaching blunder, we would have won it. This is on Claeys trying to get too cute.

Yeah we lost in the most painful way possible. But let's not forget that many of you predicted that we would lose by a bigger margin. So no he should not be fired for his blunder.

I feel sick..

What a game to watch it had everything!! We played great all around clutch pass and catch by maye on 4th down then a clutch pass that everyone thought was a touchdown and we are all going nuts we pulled the upset...

Then no... Omg the last 19 seconds of this game we all know clock will start. U just need to run a full back dive and if u don't score u call a timeout.. 2nd down with maybe 9 or 10 seconds left u throw that gets u to about 3 seconds now u either go for it or kick it whatever u think is best on 3rd down ..

Yep

How the play calling can be that spot on all game and the take that big of turd at the 1 yard line is beyond me. Atrocious.

Ummmm....you don't fire an interim coach....you just don't offer him the permanent gig. That being said Claeys future shouldn't be determined by this result but as others have said the staff totally bungled that situation in the most unimaginable way possible.

At least KC Royals took the lead 4-3 the top of 8th 2 men on base with one out.

We'll work on upsetting tOSU next week.

So ummmm Michigan was way offside on the final play. See below.

Chances are, the motion play that took forever was called by Limegrover, not Claeys. I'm not so sure we would have gotten it in on 2 sneaks, Michigan's front is solid.

Also, I have no problem with going for it. Our kids were playing hard, he thought we could get it. It happens. The dumb thing was the motion, and then the sneak was doomed before it started.

Over all, our kids played hard the coaches called a great game, besides the last 16 seconds, and playing conservative in the 4th a bit. These things can be fixed.

If our team plays like this the rest of the year I'll be happy.

And somehow they idiot officials even reviewed the play. If they call penalties like 12 men on the field based on replay that should be called, too.

But that can't take the pressure of Claeys, he was horrible.

Luck always plays in football coaches call it getting the breaks alot to criticism to go around but heart and the QB need none this game.
