ickkkkkk. So we're facing one of the worst run defenses in all of college ball, and they have stuffed us on 3 plays. Receivers have dropped two balls, and then we run a hurried, covered 5-yard out pattern on 3rd-and-10 that wouldn't have been close to a 1st down had it been completed without coverage. Defense gave up an inexcusable 3rd-and-17 and only stopped Illinois because they (too) dropped a pass. Time to wake up, both the players and the coaching staff.
 


We are asleep on defense. We can't tackle anything right now.
 


Bad tackling so far today. On the O'toole 17 yard rush play, one of the gophers' defenders didn't even try to get off his blocker until O'toole ran passed him.
 


Horrendous. As of now, we are not a good team. Very, very mediocre. I hope we can change that by the end of the game.
 


There are a lot of people open in gray jerseys.
 

Joke. A ****ing joke. Way to ruin promise guys! We are going to lose to one of the worst teams in FBS.
 



We're playing a team that will throw everything we DIDN'T plan for. Need to make big coverage changes.

See, Limegrover? THIS is how you call an offensive football game. You actually make an effort to fool the defense, and when you do, you easily march right down the field.
 





Holy cow! Their QB is running like a baby elephant and we can't bring him down. Yipes!
 

How many holds did they get away with on that run?
 


3 straight games where it looks like we didn't even bother to game plan on D. Our d ends looks lost.

Anyone that thought we were anything but mediocre was drinking the Koop aid. We aren't ready to make the jump yet but we are getting there. Today could be a set back but I'm still confident we beat Illinois

This QB is slow as molasses and we still can't catch up to him. We look incredibly slow on D.
 

And another promising Gopher season spirals towards a 6-6 appearance in the Tidy Bowl...

I think he was alluding to the fact that Jones committed to Mizzou first
 




Offensive play calling horrible. Even I knew Ill would come out fired up, predicted we'd be behind, but this could be a rout.
