It doesn't need to be pretty against Purdue, but we gotta find a way to gut it out.

Let's get after it.

An early scoring drive would do wonders for the confidence of the team and to get the crowd going. I hope we can get up early and take some pressure off the offense.

Go Gophers!!

That is what I am looking for, an early scoring drive. After a 3 and out by Purdon't, Phillip on a slant to Q for another quick TD, and the beer garden will rock and roll!!! (along with all of the heavily clad students with big pockets full of beer)

An early turnover like against Syracuse would be big too. I knew we were in for a great night after that first play.

The "Official In Game Thread" seems to start earlier and earlier every week.

Quick starts are going to be key for this team in every game from here on out. We just don't have the kind of offense that is built to play from behind and mount big comebacks. As for tomorrow I am just hoping we figure out a way to get off the damn #13 in the point total column. In our last 5 Big Ten losses (2 from last year) we have scored exactly 13 points. I'm not superstitious but that is kind of freaky...:drink:

ya, right, and when payday is Friday the 13th, you get your pay and throw 13 cents under a ladder at a black cat just to be safe??? :)

"Stagg Fears Purdue": again, couldn't resist. I fear Purdue, too. Hope they don't do to Nelson what they did to Miller.

Here's hoping today's the day the young Gophers grow up and become a legitimate B1G team. Ski-U-Mah!

Kill sure set the bar low when being interviewed by BTN's sideline reporter. Anyone else hear that? Wow.

Well, ya know, it would be a huge win for us, but we're just playing one day at a time in rebuilding cause we're young and rebuilding....rebuilding.

hard to say a game looks over in the first quarter, but I have seen this horses%!t before!

I'm usually one of the more levelheaded and optimistic posters on this board, but my god can our players never get jacked up for a game??? I know this team is you g and inexperienced, but when I played in high school we NEVER left a wide receiver uncovered.

Also, a D1 teams punting should never be this bad. Hope we can pick it up an play better.

Purdue gives up 308 rushing yards per game in conference and it appears we are going to struggle running on them. Yikes.

That works too! Finally hitting one in stride!!
