Truth is not inherently comedic. Thanks for supplying the comedy throughout this thread.

You are clueless. If you want to bitch about an offensive position bitch about the receivers, they are subpar. Our QB is light years better than our receivers. Also, our OC is nowhere near good enough.Yes, I lived through the Salem and Wacker years, this QB is not the answer or offensive coordinator

Unless, and until, we get better - and tougher - in the trenches, and on both sides of the LOS, you are seeing reality. You are clueless. On the positive side: Controlled the ball longer than Oregon and won the turnover battle.

Well he was way better than that old boring homer the Twins finally got rid of a couple of years ago, Dick Bremer. He sucked with the White Sox, was glad to see him go....overrated
The defense has regressed. Agreed. For all you Gopher fans that remember how absolutely pathetic the 2017 Gopher offense was, this Gopher offense is on track to be worse. That shouldn't even be possible.
The defense has gone from one of the country's best to Swiss cheese.
The talent seems to be an upgrade to 2017-2018 (except offensive line which is ass) but the coaching scheme on both sides of the ball seems totally amateur.
Fleck needs to clean house if he's going to stick around. Boil it down to the simple - Gopher receivers are never open while opposing receivers are always open. Simple as that.
Exactly, I predicted a Oregon TD right before half because Danny Collins was calling a soft, passive D, and sure as shit they scored right away. For all you Gopher fans that remember how absolutely pathetic the 2017 Gopher offense was, this Gopher offense is on track to be worse. That shouldn't even be possible.

Wer you here in 2007 or 2010?I’ll sit here and suffer to the end, but this year other than ‘83 is by far the least aesthetically pleasing season of my lifetime. What a shit show.
With a great o-line and 2 NFL backs.
Going to need to establish a running game to beat the ducks. In 2003 the Gophers ran the ball 55 times for 241 yards and 4 TDs to wear them down.
That team had a great o-line and 2 NFL.backs!

Just what are we doing that merits praise? Why is this broadcast crew cheering for one team over the other?
Yes, for sure these games are way worse to watch.Wer you here in 2007 or 2010?
Pride cannot fix a lack of foot speed.Yep, it’s the Iowa game. Does this team have the pride to not get their asses kicked again?
Do you think cash might help? PJ does not have the horses that "blue bloods" can buy.. Nike supplies the Ducks with tremendous resources.PJ’s recruiting has light years to go to ever be able to seriously compete with the big boys
It would be helpful if our receivers could achieve some separation downfield. Underneath stuff is all that is available.Complete clown show with these play calls.
We have a whole litany of guys that shouldn’t be playing 97, 9, 7, 24, 17 and I’m not sure 1 is going to be any good on defense 73, 74, 65, all those non-de script tight ends other than 86 that see a ton of reps collectively; and I’m wavering on our QB on offense. I have no idea why they continue to get thrown out there.; other than the QB we just hope that he needs to take his lumps and next year will make a massive move upwards. That said, I believe we do not suffer from a talent issue. 2 and 49 should be getting a ton of reps on D along with whatever freshman DBs we have now that we don’t have to worry about burning their red shirt. Hell, I’d be OK if we ran out five brand new OL guys next week couldn’t get any worse. I think PJ more than any coach I have maybe ever seen sticks with “his guys“ to the bitter end regardless of evidence every week that they are not up to the job.Pride cannot fix a lack of foot speed.
They can?Heyat least our D can make plays
On the other hand, it pretty much seems that with the other team's receivers someone gets open. Is that our D or just their receiver's talent? It would be helpful if our receivers could achieve some separation downfield. Underneath stuff is all that is available.
NOregon has so much talent, why do they need the refs too??
I think a combination of both.On the other hand, it pretty much seems that with the other team's receivers someone gets open. Is that our D or just their receiver's talent?
We may never know...
Onclose call
Brewster's last team (2010) won just one game. Jeff Horton came in and restored spiritBrewster’s last year was nearly this poor.
Kill/Clays - I don’t think they were this bad.
I'm starting to wonder if it is more play design or the QB. There were some pretty obvious open guys missed for much more yardage. In some cases they were they next layer beyond the guy he is throwing to so Drake is looking right at them but choosing the two yard check down. Drake has shown he can make most of the throws. The online sucks but there are other ways to try and help the QB beyond tunnel screens and two yard routes. Yes, check downs are better than lost yards or no yards but that cannot be your offensive identity. On the other hand, it pretty much seems that with the other team's receivers someone gets open. Is that our D or just their receiver's talent?

I do not think.a week off can add foot speed or affect a severe talent gap.The lack of competitiveness and preparation is a troubling pattern here. Especially after a bye week.
Yes. He is great with the kids and represents the university well but he needs coordinators he can rely on at crucial in-game moments. He needs good coordinators. He doesn't have them. He's probably not leaving and we would get outbid for Fitzgerald.
