***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT OREGON PRIME TIME UNDER THE FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

This is such a dogshit broadcast. These rambling idiots have made the game worse.
Jason B is great play by play baseball guy and a top broadcaster for many sports. Always respects th Gophers. . RGIII is pretty uneven, even though he is OK.

Three Road games with ranked teams
Ohio State ..42-3
Iowa...41-3
Oregon. 42-13

I'm not going to say that Flex not a good coach but there's a point when you hit a plateau and I think the best we have was was 2019 and 11-2. Since then it is been this type of situation. I don't think he can get any better or get this program to the next level he's been here over 8 years and this is not the type of thing that if you're running a really top-notch program did you get absolutely annihilated on the road by ranked teams like this they're not even remotely competitive
.

You'll need to wait until after next season for PJ to be even remotely on the hot seat. Next season will be hot garbage with a tougher schedule.

What the fuck is that shit with the 2nd string. Can’t even get a few first downs. Absolute shit ass play calling. Give ‘em an f’n chance. You already lost by 30, who cares if it’s 40? Soft as hell.

Minnesota is battling hard with the hapless Badgers for the worst offense in the conference. The defense might be headed there too after a couple more games.

There’s open competition every spring.

It's not impossible that Fleck might do what he did two years ago: recruit over his current quarterback through the portal. I know he was a big believer in Drake but he took a big gamble relying so much on a redshirt freshman QB.

Oregon has yet to punt in this game
I noticed that early on, a usual sign of a loss when the opposition never has to punt. The piss and shit is running down PJs skinny legs. That DC needs to go now. Edit... OC needs to go too.

All that passive drop 8 defense sucked as usual.

Ohio State QB played better against Gophers than Moore the Oregon QB, even as good as he was. Oregon was missing weapons though. Lindsey would look better with Oregon's Oline and weapons. We were already not getting calls this game, but Oregon was holding badly against Smith and Gophers wideouts early. I think Ohio State is better than Oregon after watching similar games.

My son’s best friend who he’s played baseball with since they were 8 is now playing at Iowa. They’re not dropping baseball.
Was trying to find where I heard that. There was a tweet claiming "the writing is on the wall" about the Iowa coach being "downsized" from the local ESPN radio guy in Iowa City, earlier this year.

I guess nothing came of it.

Drake has played college football .... 2025 season.

Moore played all of 2023 for UCLA, a few games last year for Oregon, then this year Oregon starter.

Not comparable
My point is, he’s not young. Look up every Big Ten QB’s age and experience level. He has not been very good at all. His lack of movement is a big concern. He will never be on the most skilled team at Minnesota, if he’s good he needs to lift the play of the team.
