Terrific coaching job on the road! This team is coming together! Will done, Nico!
EAPN App was all over his dunksAnd didn't let himself get fouled. If Northwestern had just tackled him on those dunks...
I forgot about the last one. And was hoping nobody reads my posts and spotted it.He missed one, but his FT's were the most shocking part of the game.
I hope the mods don't ban me, but watching one of my teams execute offense like that was f*****g arousing.
We lead the nation on percentage of hoops assisted: 74.5% i think25 assists on 28 baskets!!!!
Those timeouts called were the huge to me. Most plays last year, it would have been a turnover. Cade and Bobby didn't panic.Thing that stood out to me the most: the last 60 seconds that seemed an eternity, this is where past gophers teams would have failed, pitino jr. and johnson alike
Teams of old, invariably:
Last 60 today: we executed the end game correctly. We hit our FTs. Durkin and Tyson both showing maturity and poise to call timeouts when necessary. We properly defended each drive as time whittled down (mostly), with players knowing their assignments, acting in sync and keeping awareness of clock, fouls, score etc. Good job Medved.
- bungle one of those crucial in-bounds passes
- clank two FT in a row (maybe even fail to hit the rim on one)
- make boneheaded turnover under trap pressure
- violate 5-sec rule inbounds
- violate 10-sec rule failing to get half court
- OR…..Misc. take your personal favorite pick of the endless, moronic bizarre methods we’ve employed to piss games away in final seconds over the years
*goddamn…..so grove actually has that dog in him after all….make no mistake it’s a binary equation.
Grove’s best game of the year thus far
Asuma’s best game of the year thus far
Reynold’s best game of the year thus far
Great team effort. Nice win!
Can’t believe they didn’t hit Mustard’s Last Stand for postgame. It’s right across the street.
Staying out of foul trouble is going to be vital with such a short bench. There are going to be some rough nights but awesome to see the squad get their first road win and even better with it being a conference game. With 7 guys and two being freshmen, any win is gravy and great experience for the program. 25 assists on 28 baskets.
3 guys played all 40 and committed 2 fouls each.
It's almost like moving guys are harder to defend. At least I always liked defending when my guy was more potted plant than squirrel. You saw more back door cuts than you did the whole big 10 season last year.
At least the gas station wasn't a Kwik Trip. Proud supporter of Badger NIL.Can’t believe they didn’t hit Mustard’s Last Stand for postgame. It’s right across the street.
SS, don't want to start a new thread, but wondered what your impression of Medved and team is thus far? Can’t believe they didn’t hit Mustard’s Last Stand for postgame. It’s right across the street.
