It seems more logical to base the results on the rankings going into the game. Thanks for the clarification.

Teams move a lot. You want teams that you beat to do well because Quad 2 wins can become Quad 1 wins. Inverse, Quad 3 wins/loses can because Quad 4 if those teams end up being bad.
