I agree with that but I think other than QB right now this team is as talented as Nebraska and I still think Armstrong will make a mistake or two.

Let's be honest. Maryland played a truly awful game. Through 3 quarters, they had 100 yards of offense. Every big play they had was called back on a penalty. They turned the ball over continuously. We won, I'm not sorry, but I wouldn't call it an "excellent" game by our defense...

Really? They had 3 plays of ~30 yards called back- two of which were directly successful because of the penalty. And are the turnovers not due to good plays by the defense (except the muffed punt). You sound very much like you don't want to believe we had a good defensive game because u have Minnesotan sensibilities.[emoji4]

Turnovers were great plays by our defense. For sure. I'm happy we won, just didn't think it was dominating. Anyway, I'm just going to enjoy the win...
 

I'm not trying to be Debbie Downer but it's a fact we don't get those penalties vs just about any other team. They called it really, really tight the first half and then were inexplicably missing more egregious penalties in the second half. I just don't know what think or who to believe.

As always, we need to play better, overcome, and win despite what may happen with the flags week to week. Doesn't mean we can't whine about it.

I recall one of the ESPN announcers making a comment about a ticky tacky holding call on a Gophers lineman was due to many of the blatant holds earlier in the game particularly against Maryland. It looked like the Terps linemen thought they were wrestling participants rather than football players.

I'm inclined to agree with his analysis.
