***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT IOWA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

So where did you take

So where did you take her?
We went to El Charro downtown. I know that’s kind of the go to place and they’ve been around forever but I think it’s the best sit down Mexican restaurant in town. There’s a lot of really good choices most are trucks or fast casual. We weren’t looking for that last night.
It was good.

They've had more than one off-night recently. Their "injured" player didn't miss a game (he was taken out of the last game early but I don't think he would have made a difference in the final outcome). He didn't have a great night last night but he's had worse nights this season. He's good but streaky.

I'm not sure why you seem to feel a need to minimize accomplishments by this team.
I’m trying to keep it in context, not minimize. Any of us who have ever watched the game knows the difference between beating another team because you have played well and winning because, at least in part, the other team had an off night. As I indicated, I take the win but see it in context.

If I were an Ohio State fan, I would be grateful for the road win against the Gophers but also realistic that it was as much about the Gophers being miserable at the line and making multiple mental errors than it was about my team playing well.

7 NCAA tournament appearances in that time as well. The one thing they have failed to do however is go on a long tournament run as in most of those they were out in the first or second round.
About to say Fran is Clem with our the FF and early tenure NCAA success. Probably a bit better of an overall big ten record but no shame in what he's done there.

Sure, we all know the difference between domination and catching some breaks but I guess I just don't see the need to put caveats or asterisks on wins. What's the point of doing that?

It was a nice road win. We played well and Iowa had an off night shooting so we were able to hang on and get the W in a place where we haven't won many games and came in as the underdog.

Nobody is going crazy and planning the parade route for our eventual NCAA tournament victory parade. There is no need for a reality check or to try and tamp down any enthusiasm from what was a fun road win in a season that has been short of things to feel good about to this point.

Agreed. It's always good to celebrate beating Iowa, especially in Iowa City. It doesn't mean you're blindly supporting Ben or excusing the state of our program, but it does mean we had a good night. They're rare now (I get it, I've been banging that drum), but when they come, I still enjoy them.

There are two things that will always make me happy - MN winning and Iowa losing, we got both last night.

Go Gophers!

Iowa players were complaining about the refs in the postgame news conference. I didn't think there was anything real blatant.
Complaining because they didn’t get the B1G home court advantage. With NIL maybe players should start getting fined for that.
Just sayin’

*crumples up parade route plans*

Yes nobody was planning anything

Well thanks. I wish I would have read this BEFORE I purchased over $200 in celebratory products from Party City for the parade that is apparently not gonna happen. ;)

Hell yea that's the spot in Tucson for sure!
