He’s an excellent QB in the pocket. Unfortunately, we lack an offensive line that’s able to maintain a pocket for their QB to throw from.

Franklin started at Vanderbilt, which is hotter now than when he was there. He'll land on his feet, but I doubt he'd be interested in a mediocre B10 team like Minnesota.
