***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT INDIANA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Well...I needed to cook dinner and then the family wanted to watch Wheel of Fortune. I figured I was recording the game, but when I came back it was beyond close.

I think I may start a thread to find out what teams we cheer for when we aren't watching the Gophers so that we can have something positive to talk about.

So..... does Ben get fired tonight, at home tomorrow or when?

I made cubed steak. One of my faves.

Team is slow and soft. Going to have to be way more aggressive to win any games in the Big Ten.

In a nutshell: The vultures are circling. Poor Ben. So many injuries. Poor Ben.
What is amazing is how poorly this roster is constructed. Now that I see Frank Mitchell play...how on earth did they think he converted to Big Ten at the center position. He's 6-6 and can't get off the ground and he's slow. He plays out of a crouch so he's effectively about 6-0. Then the group of guards. We play these little second tier squads and they all have more quickness than we do. There is really no excuse for having Big Ten scholarships to hand out and coming up with this. If Garcia hadn't stayed he'd have the worst high major team I've ever seen.

Not a single one of the transfers has met expectations.

We laugh but my heart hurts. We suck! Who would want to walk into this situation

The closest thing to a basketball player is Odukale. He is very flawed offensively but is a really good defender.

Gonna have to have the $$$$$ to get a goof coach.

I know the odds of this are like 0.000001%. But honestly just put a call into Beilien, I know mid season coaching moves aren't a thing on college but he's sitting on BTN now, maybe we could talk him into a few months and see what happens.

They are. Our guards aren't good (they might be passable against some conference opponents) but it's our front line that really is overmatched against talented size. We've seen that in both of our conference games. Once again we were drubbed on the boards. I don't want to fault Garcia because he is talented and plays hard but he's really a stretch forward and the others are no match for the inside play of the big men we've seen in these first two games.

I was encouraged by the confirmation of next year's revenue sharing duscussed by the announcers during the game. I read that was supposed to start next season but I'm glad to hear it confirmed. Maybe under that system we can get adequate recruiting parity and retain good players. Maybe Ben Johnson would have done better under that system but I don't feel much trust in him going forward.
