***OFFICIAL INDIANA STATE AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!!***

I would like us to see break 60 points. Since I started watching in 2010, I think the most points we scored in a game was 54 against Iowa back in 2014.

Any backups in?

Backups have been shuffling in and out most of the game. I don't think they are going to empty the benches completely yet. Will shuffle guys in and out until closer to the end.

Backup defense leaves a lot to be desired.

Up 34 against a bad team. Why are starters still in on defense? Makes no sense, get backups reps against a live opponent, even a bad one like this. Mitch still had helmet on standing next to Weber. Really hope they don't send him back in.

McGhee >>>> Ayinde

#4 is so over matched nearly every play.
Can't cover and is weak tackler.
What's going on with Ace and Dior?!

Game is great, but who is 34? This guy is going to get destroyed in the B1G. Not a good game for him.

I'm glad people have managed to find something to complain about. I was getting nervous for a minute there.

Reps. It's only the second game of the year and we have a bye next week. Only 3 non conference games instead of the normal 4.

I'd rather see the team develop some depth actually. If the backups can score some points, great. But getting some game time for some of these younger guys is pretty crucial IMO. BTW, the tam scored 51 in that Iowa game. Definitely the most points in a long time though.

Looks like they feel like the starters need the reps.

BEEBE That's what I wanted to see!

Yeah Beebe! !

I don't Carter Coughlin's name mentioned in any plays.

Not about complaining. Big lead, no reason to have starters in there. Give the backups some reps against a live defense. Especially at QB give someone a chance to take some snaps as opposed to having Mitch pad stats. No reason to risk getting Mitch hurt either.

Why is Weyler playing ahead of Calhoun? Is he hurt or do the coaches just feel Weyler is better?

Would be nice to see what the backups can do on offense. But I like the idea of keeping the foot on the gas offensively

Didn't you hear the announcers? The game's not over.

Maybe waiting until the 4th?

Purely from an entertainment perspective, I'd rather see Leidner pad his stats than watch Rhoda finish it off. Demry getting some time would be nice though.

I can understand that to a degree but especially in the case of Leidner why not let a backup get some live reps to get comfortable in the event Mitch gets hurt later in the year? Very little experience in the backup QBs.

The defense need to make a good defensive stop.

FG good. Now I better hear some weird names I haven't heard since they were recruited.

Emitt Carpenter has a bigger leg than I thought he would. Consistently booting it thru the endzone and hitting long FGs

Thirty points is not an insurmountable lead if the Sycs get a couple of big plays in a short time.

Don't let them mount a comeback.
