Ugly first half. We obviously have to keep them off the scoreboard.
 


If Leidner sees the field again unless Nelson is hurt. We might as well shake em up now and hop back on the bus..
 

Playing like crap...down 7-3 at the half...I'd say we got 'em right where we want 'em.
 

I hate this board

I hate this board with all the haters who call themselves fans. Not speaking to those of you who come here day in and out and support our team (even if at times we may disagree). I am speaking to the pathetic people who only show up here when the Gophers are struggling and then remind us that they predicted this like they are Nostradumass of the Tundra or something.

But, I digress...hope the boys can get inspired at half time and come on and play Gopher football!
 


It's funny that he guys back in the studio noticed that the clock wasn't reset to where it should have been since the pass was incomplete, but no one at the game seemed to.

Including our coaches! It seemed like we were just happy to get the FG.
 

The worst effort I've ever seen from the Gophers. No excuse.

Why were they able to review the imcomplete pass when we had already run another play?

I've had the same feeling. We just don't seem to have any sense of urgency.

We have to solve the QB issue, although both these guys are young.
 



Gophers look like they really want to be there. Really came out like they want to get 9 wins and make some history. WOW! Leidner the only one who looks like he gives a ... Syracuse definitely has come out like they want it. Look like they are playing with a chip on their shoulder.

I'm not sure it would have mattered. We were set on just running the ball and kicking the FG.
 


Playing conservative is the most frustrating thing in the world for me. No blitzes - and no aggressiveness on the other side of the ball. Put Nelson in the game and go after their QB!!!
 



Well I'm going to look on the bright side, we are only down 7-3. One big play away from a whole new ballgame.

That's so wrong. They're playing hard and tough. The problem is, once again, quarterback execution; and a few bad penalties. Also, the play calling is so limited because we don't have a qb who can throw like every other qb we've seen so far in the bowl season. When is the last time you saw a receiver go down field 15 yards, stop, turn, and see a bullet coming at him? Try NEVER. We have such a limited play book compared to every other team.
 

Gopher section is more full than Cuse. I'll walk over and take a pic after I finish my beer.

Not that it's a spectacular showing, but it's a good first level of fans.
 


Young squad that hasn't proven anything yet showed up to Houston thinking they had this game won. WhaBam! The 'Cuse came out and connected with a big upper cut. Gophs stumble into the locker room at half. Second half will be all Minnesota. Ski U Mah!!!!
 

For us to be playing like complete trash I must say it's a good sign we're only down by 4 but we need a HUGE defensive stop coming out the half...
 

I'm going to bring some positive thinking into this thread. WE ARE STILL IN IT! Sure it hasn't been the best half of the year, BUT IT'S ONLY BEEN 1 HALF! I'm probably as frustrated as you are, but all year we have come out and played well in the second half. I don't see that changing tonight. We are just a couple plays away from taking complete control of this game. I can't speak for you, but I am going to wear my Maroon and Gold with pride throughout the rest of the game and will be screaming from my living room even though I know they can't hear me. SKI-U-MAH!

I don't know where all this blowout talk is coming from but Minnesota was only favored by 4...
