***OFFICIAL GOPHERS-NEBRASKA IN-GAME THREAD***

IMO conference record doesn't and shouldn't make a difference. The overall profile is what matters, you can have a 8-10 record in the B1G and you would probably finish 12-6 or better in the SEC just because of the difference in the conference strength, so when you really think about it why should conference record make a huge difference?

The only people who say this are fans of the team about to finish their conference season with a losing record.

What's most disheartening is the future, this was the year where we put it together. Next year and beyond we could become a bottom dweller.

We're all pissed tonight, but this is simply not true.

This team lost to two well below .500 teams on the road. They can lose to anyone on the road.

Will Gophers win another game this year?

It does depend which team shows up. Considering the caliber of this performance, it'll be tough to beat the 'Cats in the first round of the BTT.

1 road win in conference play is not good enough. This is .500 team or lower in any BCS conference.

I know. Gonna be really tough to make a bowl game this year with this years squad. :)

(Edit: By the way, I would argue that the B1G Ten is by far the best b-ball conference this year.)

Will Gophers win another game this year?

You know station, I think this question could actually be seriously intriguing if you think about it.
It's as simple as a loss at Purdue, a 1st round BTT loss, and NCAA loss, and boom, it's all over!

Losing 11 of their last 16 games will give the Gophers an RPI around 30.

Prediction: Minnesota will have the highest RPI in the last 20 years to not get a bid.

What's a proven fact? If you're talking pure athletes, then yes he is right. But being a good athlete doesn't make a player great.

If you're talking about recruiting and the rankings of the current contributors on the team, they're pretty a wash. Both Berggren and Dekker were rated higher than anyone on the Gophers right now. Wisconsin also has signed a 4-star guy next year.

C'mon, you can't think that Berggren, Dekker and Carrot Top were more highly rated than Mbakwe, Rodney and Hollins out of HS. Bottom line is Ryan can make more out of lesser talent than any coach in the league and he does it every year. He might bore you to death, but he wins. And at least his players can run an offense and execute.

Prediction: Moses will say "I'm done with this team and won't post again until Tubby is gone" and then post a minute later.

I was nervous about the Purdue game before we even played Nebraska.... Now I'm REALLY nervous.

Thinking of our offense reminds me of a great quote by John McKay, when he was coaching the hapless Tampa Bay Bucs. A reporter asked, "what do you think about your team's execution?" McKay replied, "I'm all for it!"

They lost because they sucked at the line. Can't shoot, can't win. I don't want to play weird moniker guy, but didn't Miami get bounced at home tonight? Emotion plays a factor. As bad as the Gophers played tonight, they win by a dime on a neutral court. In 8 days, that's all that matters.

That's not completely out of whack. Still unlikely they miss the Field, but Palm just talked about them as an 8/9 seed as it stands. Recall that, prior to the Indiana game, quite a few of us were saying they needed three more wins to get in. They've won twice since.

A simple rivals/google search should answer your question.

Or check my thread "Myth Busters: Does Bo Ryan really win with less" (shameless self plug)

The Gophers have never had a higher rivals rated roster than the Badgers since Tubby's arrival.

Decker was rated higher than any of those three. Stick to facts.

A minute without Moses is a lifetime for Moses. For the rest of us it is pure bliss.

Michigan played horrible for over 65% of the game tonight - but down the stretch they put it together... How many games have we trailed almost nearly the whole game???

1. Never mentioned carrot top.
2. It had nothing to do with what I think. I went by the recruiting sites. Not sure why Berggren and Dekker being highly rated is so unbelievable. One has had a very good career and the other could be all conference player in a few years.
3. I don't disagree that Ryan does more with his players. But to at like he hasn't recruited some very talented players out of high school is ridiculous.
