*** OFFICIAL GOPHERS-MICHIGAN GAME THREAD ***

ya know, I don't mind trailing by 7 in a game...just give us equal reffing.

We wasted a down and 2 seconds by spiking the ball. Going in with 2 time outs.

That call better light a fire under these guys 2nd half.

Agree...right now MN did not take full advantage of the early game field position....unless things turn around in the second half, that will turn out to be a major factor I'm afraid.

Impressive half! Tough to be upset, Michigan was able to complete 2 lucky passes that I find it tough to be upset about. Michigan won't be that lucky in the the second half! Gophers win 27-17

i've posted this before, but Todd Geerlings is the football equivalent to Ed Hightower. He and his crew have screwed the Gophers every time he refs them.

Scramble Hail Mary was the turning point

3rd n 17, punt, we get the ball back and probably have the lead at half. Michigan gets the ball to start the second half and our offense has not shown the big play potential it had last week (Barker out hurts). Keep playing with this energy and heart next week at Illiniois and we get bowl eligible.

Fruechte is horrible at finding the ball in the air. That is all.

Want to stay positive here but the first and second quarters looked a bit like two different games. Michigan's defense was on the field almost the entire 1st quarter and on track to get worn down rather quickly. I don't know that we'll be able to replicate that in the second half, especially since they'll receive the kickoff. That fluke TD throw was really a demoralizer.

We need the offense to continue stringing out longer drivers - hopefully that result in points. We just don't have the horses to defend back to back 10 plays drives by Michigan if we go 3 and out, etc. They played great so far - really just a few breakdowns so far have resulted in the scored. We need to clean up the offensive penalties too - false starts kill drives.

Michigan's offense found their footing 2nd quarter. 2 scoring drives of ~90 yards? Even with terrible field position most of the 1st half they found ways to score.

Keep playing with this energy and heart for the second half and make some plays, we get bowl eligible this afternoon.

Stop blaming the f'in refs. Shabazz had his hand on the receivers arm....Michigan is out playing us in the 2nd quarter but the game is still in reach. Poor clock management before the half spiking the ball instead of using a timeout. Cost us a down and a couple seconds of clock, might have been enough time to get in actual field goal range.

Michigan's drive to start the third quarter will be huge. If we keep them out of the endzone we can get back into things if they drive down and score we could be in a rough spot down 14 against the #1 pass defense in the conference.

Giving up already, huh?

It wasn't a Hail Mary, by the way.

Kill's guys are gonna pull us a Win... We need that JUG!

Kevin Kugle is an insult to all sportscasters everywhere. I hope the B1G network decides to stop acting like community access and hire some real anchors soon.

Some of you Holers bitch about improvement year to year.... last year...Michigan 58 Zip. We now at halftime, down 14-7. Now let's put them down and bring home the JUG.

I will take them all day over the woman on ESPN 8 that usually covers our games.

The pass interference call was pretty bad. Both players had their hands on each other. The chop block early in the game was terrible too. The d-lineman had a hand on our center who was not even looking to block him. I don't think that is the definition of "being engaged with another player".

Either way, not a terrible first half. We need to be more consistent on offense. This first Michigan drive in the second half is key.

I don't acknowledge Beth Mowins.

If the same situation occurred in the 4th quarter (3rd and goal) for a go ahead score, it would not have been called. Still better than NFL refs but a poor call.

No it didn't. We didn't get a first down, so we had to try the FG attempt. It was 4th down. Taking a timeout would not have changed anything.

not technically, but still should not have happen.

It was a fluke play, secondary came up thinking he crossed the los. If they don't come up and Gardner runs for 20-30 yards everyone is bitching about how no one came up. It was a great play by Gardner
