Official "Bought first time seats, upgraded seats or parking, or added seats thread"

So anxious to upgrade! I think I am Zone 7. Have 4 seat in section 103 & two seats in Section 133. Hoping to move the two seats in 133 to the same row as my section 103 seats. Surpisingly, I have been in Section 103 for the entirety of the Gophers history in playing in TCF bank. My father typically attends with me as well as a friend or two and my girlfriend. My father really likes the easiness of getting in and out of our seats in that section quickly if we arrive late or something and , even though we RARELY leave a game before it is over (maybe once or twice). Also, I like the relative closeness to both beer gardens. :)

For me though, I really want all of our tickets together. I really enjoy the ability to bring a few of my friends and family so we can all share in the game experience. Makes it pretty fun for all of us!

111, 138, 139 & 143 are now closed as well:

My goal is 137 and I don't think it is going to happen. I am currently in 135.

We have the same goal.... and it's not going to happen without a donation. It might not even happen with a donation depending on the number of seats.

I am in zone 8(4 seats) and am looking to move from 244 to 243. I don't think it is going to happen considering last year we moved from 245 to 244 only because a season ticket holder earlier that day gave up 4 seats in 244 to add 4 more and wanted to keep all 8 together... lucky us!

Ok, we have officially added 2 seats. Now at 6 seats in our group. My uncle was in Zone 4 (surprisingly higher than we thought) and got an offer to add/exchange for 2 seats in section 114. After talking with me (and me talking to Mrs. Formo) I told him I would buy those 2 seats (sec 114, row 28, seats 7-8).

Well, according to the map you are posting, there's a possibility that you'll be able to move again!

This makes me very happy, because I want to upgrade and stay on the home side.

More than half of the home schedule will always be played in August/September, so I will never understand why everyone needs to be in the sun.

For us (and this may just be the exception) sitting in the sun is nice. Never is it overbearingly hot, we catch some rays (tan!), and during those chilly days when the sun pops out, it's nice. The only drawback I personally have is sunglasses. As someone who's old fashioned and stills wears eye glasses for poor vision, I have to sacrifice either poor vision (glasses) or poor vision (sun in eyes). But, honestly, it's not like I'm looking UP into the sun often, so it's really a moot point.

But, to each their own. I have never experienced sitting on the home side so I guess I only have limited knowledge of the situation. =)

It's possible, but I have to wait 10 days to find out.

I have been to multiple games where it is painfully hot. It can be 70 without wind, and it will kick your ass. That being said it all pays off when it is cold. It is like a 20 degree difference to be in the sun vs shade. I would pick the away side if I could.

137 & 144 are closed as well. Not even through zone 4 and all lower deck non-donation seatbacks are closed.

The hottest I remember being was the game vs. Cal-Berkley. And I think it was 90. But even then, I don't remember being so uncomfortable that I didn't enjoy the game. But maybe because I'm such a nut that the elements don't really effect me.

In the shade\home side we just dress warmer.....no big deal. No sun in our eyes and not forced to wear shades the whole game. I don't want to be behind the damn visitor bench I want to be behind our players.

New Mexico St. was the hottest, by far. We were still on the visitor side at that time and it was absolutely miserable that day.

Did you make it into 135 before it closed?

I am already in 135. I was hoping to get into the chairback seats in 137. I knew there was basically no chance but there is no harm in trying. I am 99.9% sure I will be right back in my regular 135 seats for this season and that is okay. I like them. 137 closed before I got a call. I'll try again next year, and the year after, and the year after... etc. I am in zone 7 so no call for me yet. Next week.

I maybe had a hint of a hope when I saw everything on the sunny side filling up early, thinking maybe that would free more room in 137... but it was not to be.

I just upgraded my two seats from Section 117, row 30, seats 5 & 6 to section 115, row 29, seats 1 & 2. Just one section over(there is no 116), but I'm very happy.

Was that the seizure game?

I vaguely remember that being a hot one too, but nothing overbearing. I guess I just phase out the elements when football is in front of me.

+1 Formo! I completely agree with you there! Me too! :)

Yes, it was.

My wife was about 8.75 months pregnant at the time, too. It got up to about 92 or so, which was bad enough, but the humidity was intolerable.

Updated seat map from today for any parties interested. I am in Zone 8, so still anxiously waiting on my seat change opportunity!

The Seat/Parking improvement site was just updated to show Zone 6 is "up next". No updates to the upgrade map though.

Zone 6 here. Got the call today. Moved down a little in 237. There were 4 seats in 238, like row 25-26. Decided to go lower in same section.
