Official 2026 Roster Movement Thread - Who's In and Who's Out?

Jaron Thomas attended high school at Concord (Elkhart IN) where my son and him went to school together. He has huge upside and could be a significant contributor. His brother holds the 100m record at Concord. Looking forward to seeing him in Maroon and Gold. P.S. One of his HS teammates is also in the portal....Nitro Tuggle (WR)...also from Purdue after originally going to Georgia. Would love to see them reunited in Minneapolis but know that is a longshot.

Tuggle would be a heck of a get. Interesting connection.

He was one of Purdue’s top recruits last year, so nice to take one from a conference opponent too.

Was he a return guy in HS?

Seems like Cub Foods has made a rather large investment in NIL this year. Makes you wonder if other sponsors of Gopher sports will do the same.

The better the product on the field the more eyes for the sponsors.

This is a promising way to NIL success for the Gophs IMO. True marketing NIL. Sustainable. Potentially highly scaleable. Teams in metro areas with good local consumer brands could actually have an advantage.

I find the formatting on these draft announcements odd because they read like the player is foregoing elegibiliy to declare for the draft even when they are not.

But a nice sentiment from a guy who was a really solid player for us, never a star but willing to do whatever the team needed and a key participant on special teams. Hope he can find his way onto a roster. Guys who are willing to play special teams have value in the NFL.

Seeing Beers in car dealership commercial .
Cub Foods is a big one.
Spire likes using Gopher talent.

Are these portal adds only going to be if they are named after one time Supreme Court justices?!?! 3 of 4 so far. 😂

Let's hope it continues with Texas WR DeAndre Moore, New Mexico TE Dorian Thomas, Colorado WR Omarion Miller, Tulane CB Jaheim Johnson, Penn State CB Elliot Washington, North Texas DT Ethan Day, and Florida DT Tarvorise Brown.

(I have no idea, but I doubt any of these guys are interested, but they do share last names with previous justices and would fill positions of need.)

According to the internet postings Hansen (RB) from Iowa State is following Campbell to Penn State and Suma - who he shared time with is headed to Wisconsin.

Wolfson says Karmo deal was done weeks ago and he will be back.

Some guys just don’t do the social media thing I guess.
Yeah, would assume that pretty much anyone not in the portal now that it is open is planning on coming back. With just the one portal window this season it would not make much sense to delay going in.

There will probably still be a few more late entries but would guess most of the guys that are planning to leave have already declared.

OL had their struggles but continuity is huge along the line - Awesome that Roy, Beers, Johnson and Nelson have all indicated they will be back next year.

It's too bad Prince passed away. He could have been our sugar daddy! Imagine the halftime shows! Downside is he probably would have insisted to call at least two plays a game.

He probably would have been bigger on basketball. I think he played for Minneapolis Central way back when.

As long as those 2 plays were victory formation kneel downs at the end of games after the team he bought got done crushing their opponents I don't think anyone would have a problem with that :)
