Maybe it helps, maybe it doesn't. Iowa State seems to offer guys crazy early but doesn't seem like many of our local guys end up there.

This staff has been very deliberate with offers to in-state kids. They offered when they were ready to offer, player chose Wisconsin, on to the next one.

It probably could’ve, but there is risk that comes with that as well. Who knows, plenty of time until signing, haven’t seen it happen much with in-staters committing to border rivals, but could flip him.

Certainly seems that way if they offered and he commits immediately, seems no one else really had a chance if that's the case. Can't do much about it but go out there and keep beating them on the field.
