BG does not have to be the end of the season, or means that the season is derailed.

BUT - that all depends on how the team AND the coaches respond this week. If the Gophers come out, play well and beat Purdue - or even lose in a competitive game, that will change the tone.

But - If the Gophers lay another egg against Purdue, then it will be Defcon 4 - full-out panic time, and the rest of the season has the potential to become truly ugly.

Purdue is not very good. Rallied to beat Illinois at home. Losing to them will be a bad sign. I think you have your defcon count backwards...
