I spoke to Tim Davis last Saturday. He said the best players will play. He said it is difficult to plug an "inexperienced" player into the line right away. Young players need game experience. He also downplayed Jeff Wills' "problems" last season, saying "it was not necessarily his (Wills) fault last year". Take that any way you will.

I think that you will see the upper classmen play at the beginning and the younger players making (Olson, Michel) big contributions as the Big Ten season gets underway.

Mr. Davis also lit up when talking about Tommy Olson (Class of 2011). He believes that Tommy is the real deal, and is the best player in the State...

Alford-Olsen-Burris-Carufel-Wills sounds about right to be, perhaps Davis or Wynn at Center instead.

I think it will all come down to dings and health. I really doubt they don't pull every single stop to win every possible game this year. The best and most ready will play. The OL has a chance for major improvement this year and they had better accomplish that. If healthy, Olson starts by the time BT games start. Michel will be there too. We will know a lot when we see their condition at the start of spring practice. If they are leaner and meaner we will be OK. There will be lots of competition. Guessing Alford, Olson, Burris, Carufel, Wills start at MTSU.
