Even so, if he was the savior some here purport him to be he would've gotten some kind of attention from decent programs. Looking at the list, he would be a great get... at N Illinois.

Didn't see much of the game today, but I would be interested to see a revote of the same poll following today's game. Leidner 8/12, 2 TDs, 1 INT, 41 points... if there were to be a revote I bet it wouldn't be 78% in favor of Croft any more.

ML7 Haters see 59 yards and that is all they see. I still don't understand why folks have to live on the extremes of the ML7 debate. I live in the middle - I think he is good sometimes, OK others, and Bad the rest of the time. I think he has been a problem this year, but not the problem. I hope he plays well, don't read too much into good performances, and don't do the stupid "any DII QB" talk after a bad game. He will have more good games and more bad games this year. He wasn't either yesterday, he made a great TD pass, and otherwise did the check downs that were designed for him today. The coaches were going to win or lose by the run game today, period. Same as against Kent State - it just worked better and looked better today..... ML7 wasn't the reason either time.

Leidner win yesterday as a game manager, which is what he is best suited too. He's not a qb that can put us on his back and overcome a huge deficit by his brilliant play.

Fans were pining for Croft because Leidner had been do awful. Now that I've seen Croft two weeks in a row, I wish they hadn't burned his redshirt because he's not ready to start. He is an accurate passer but has no zip on his balls. But we are where we are. So now we should play him as often as we can.

Leidner was about as bad as a QB can be in a 41 point effort in a blowout win.
