Woah. What if the coach of the team in the story settled with the university and the university in the settlement was allowed to say hazing occurred?
Would that change your opinion?
What if the story you posted the university was allowed to publicly say occurred on the coaches watch? Would that reflect poorly upon the coach?
Because that’s what happened at northwestern
Well the statement allows northwestern to say hazing occurredYou don’t know what happened at Northwestern. I don’t know. The players know. They give conflicting reports.
Well the settlement allows them to say hazing occurredWhat I do know is it was ascertained to be mostly BS or unprovable by law enforcement or college investigators as reported or known about by the head coach. If NU had reports of hazing he’d be gone for cause. Period. They don’t.
Well the settlement allows them to say hazing occurredYou can choose to not believe it, and maybe you’re 100% right and Fitz orchestrated the whole quasi-homosexual hazing ring agenda. I tend to dismiss most of it but I could be wrong, or I could be right. I tend to disbelieve the stories as presented. That’s my opinion. I don’t have subpoena or discovery or the might of the court of law on my side.
The university thinks hazing happened and allows fleck to keep his job?

For sure. And the settlement allows northwestern to publicly state hazing occurredThey could have very easily rolled over on Fleck and maybe would have if they were looking to unload him. Hes still in the good graces of Mr Coyle and the BOR.
Well the statement allows northwestern to say hazing occurred
Well the settlement allows them to say hazing occurred

No you don’t have discovery or subpoena
But you do have a brain. And your brain should realize the settlement allows northwestern to publicly say hazing occurred
YesYou never say what hazing is, in your opinion.
Are there different levels, in your mind?
The settlement with Fitzgerald allows northwestern the publicly state hazing occurred. Apparently whatever occurred was enough for Fitzgerald to make a settlement that allowed northwestern to publicly state hazing occurred.Assault, for example. There’s verbal, and there’s knocking someone into a coma.
There wouldn’t be an employed teacher or coach or manager in the country if unfounded allegations get people fired. Get real man? You can’t possibly be serious with this stuff.

Well he agreed to let northwestern publicly state hazing occurred in his settlementA normal person would say with typical ***hole-level hazing as occurs in MANY organizations to this very day would say, don’t let it happen again. Warning, slap on the hand.
If it was criminal-level as alleged, he’d be gone for cause.
Use your brain.
Yes
The settlement with Fitzgerald allows northwestern the publicly state hazing occurred. Apparently whatever occurred was enough for Fitzgerald to make a settlement that allowed northwestern to publicly state hazing occurred.
Your problems seems to be with fitzgerald and his lawyers not me
I’m not sure why he settled in a way that allowed northwestern to publicly state hazing occurred. Why did they settle, then? I don’t get it. Explain to me with words.
Well he agreed to let northwestern publicly state hazing occurred in his settlement
I’ll try to use my brain though.
My brain tells me that hazing occurred based on the fact Fitzgerald agreed to let northwestern say hazing occurred

Neither me nor northwestern ever claimed he was aware?Hazing he was unaware of. It clearly wasn’t the publicized allegations as no charges for assault were ever made or followed up on.
Yeah. It’s pretty crazy to me that his whole reputation was at stake and rather than fight it he agreed to let northwestern publicly state hazing occurred in his programPeople will sometimes sign statements they don’t wholly agree with if the alternative is a long and costly legal battle or the outcome is uncertain or there would be collateral damage to other people. That’s just life.
Who is grant norton?Ok so now that it’s on tell me, do you believe Grant Norton?
Yes or no.
Neither me nor northwestern ever claimed he was aware?
Yeah. It’s pretty crazy to me that his whole reputation was at stake and rather than fight it he agreed to let northwestern publicly state hazing occurred in his program
Who is grant norton?
I dont really have an opinion on the allegations. But I do think it’s interesting Fitzgerald allows northwestern to publicly state hazing occurred in the settlementYou and some very active on Twitter dumb college kids believe the allegations as stated.
I believe he believes his claims, yes. I don’t think he is making anything up in his own mind.I just posted the Jason Stahl substack up thread.
