From my knowledge of the family, they seem to want what they deem as greener pastures. Don’t get your hopes up that he’s a gopher unless we pay significantly more than another team. I don’t think we are sexy enough in their eye. Pure speculation but just my sense.

You can take both. Ben laid no groundwork for #1 in 2025 and 2026. Didn’t even offer them. Grove a little understanding as no one was in on him until late. Wiggins has been a stud for multiple seasons

Well, I'm kind of baffled. Why schedule a visit to Minnesota if you are not interested? If you are interested...make your decision after the Minnesota visit. If Texas Tech is saying...you leave without accepting and we are giving it to someone else...I'm saying see ya to Texas Tech.
Minnesota may have offered more money at the eleventh hour...Groves may have liked the Gophers plan for his development/playing time better than TT...he might have connected with the staff better....mighta thought being 45 minutes from home was better.
He's got nothun' to compare TT to...feel bad for him and decision process.
I got no idea how good he is...have not watched highlight one...just don't like his thought process in making a decision.

This will come off as sour grapes but when I checked his Twitter I was surprised at how he pretty much had only retweeted Mr. Basketball content the last few months, including retweets of people campaigning for him. Then he commits before his MN visit he scheduled. That combined with hearing he wants a greener pasture/“sexy destination”…don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

If you’ve lived in MN your whole life I can see how a warm sunny state far away can seem like it is exotic and interesting while the hometown school just down the street is not.

I thought his fake interest in Wisconsin and Minnesota was curious, too. What was the point? The only point could have been that he was going to let them make their pitch, shoot their shot, host him for a visit. But it wasn't even that. Even a charade needs a motive.
