NIT Game #4: #1 Gophers vs. #1 Florida State at MSG [ESPN2, Tues @ 8:00PM]

Foul trouble will be key. King has 3, Mo has 2. I certainly don't want to rely on Oto and Buggs a lot in the 2nd half.

I honestly don't think it is too big of a deal. The 2nd half will depend on whether or not we can continue to shoot as well as we did in the 1st half.

I don't like where this game is headed at all. The Gophers started out the game 7 of 10 from behind the arc, yet finish the half with just 30 points. The Gophers have struggled to find a decent look from anywhere on the court since their initial barrage and are not even coming close to grabbing an offensive board. Not to take anything away from how well the Gophers started the game and how solid the defense has been, but when you have a team down you've got to kick them. This team has been unable to deliver the finishing blow in a lot of games this year.

Hopefully the Gophers can find a few baskets inside early in the second half to open the perimeter back up. Oto's been surprisingly solid in this game, I would have thought his conditioning would be a real issue as I assume he hasn't been running like a D-1 athlete since his medical situation was announced.

I think we'll be fine if we just keep playing D on their only couple scorers

Pitino said Oto has been practicing but I'm still impressed he's in decent game shape considering he hasn't played in a while.

Not leaving his feet for rebounds.

Knight is not paying any attentiion to the game. The game is more important than him.

I expect FSU to come out like a horse on fire. Gophers better gird their loins.

We do need to find some points in the paint. Hopefully their shooters don't get hot. Should be a fun second half.

Agreed. This game (unfortunately) is going to tighten up. We shot lights out (7/10), yet scored only an additional 9 points.
Fouls will be the key. If we can stay out of trouble and match their offensive output, we win by 10. (I did well in Math class)

As long as we keep an 8 to 10 point lead, I predict we'll be fine.

Not sure what he was doing there

blatant travel not called. FSU gets 2 off it. These refs are awful.
