Dre better work hard this offseason, we are going to need him next year. He has been really, really bad this year.
 



Credit to the team for not only clawing their way back into the game, but also taking and increasing the lead in the second half. This is the sort of thing we always hope to see, but rarely do.
 


Joey King has improved immensely over the course of the season.
 




Mathieu may be our best 3pt shooter when left open. He rarely misses those open looks.
 

Alright did anyone else hear the announcer saying that Pitino coached clubs are always better in the 2nd half, and how you can say that about the entire season as well?

Do these guys even take a look at our results before they announce the game or do they just wake up and stick the headset on?

I'm blaming the injury. He has absolutely no dribble drive game right now and not as much lift on his shot like he had last year and earlier in the season.
 



Eliason has made a huge impact on the defensive side of the ball today.
 

Malik's career as a gopher is over. No need to force the issue with him, let McNeil get some minutes. From listening to Malik on the radio a while ago, I'm guessing he's ok with it too.

This is a down year for the Gaels. They would finish last. They may win 1-3 by accident. The talent differential between them and a big 10 team is huge. St. Mary's fills out their roster with local kids (although the Bay Area is huge). They are the west coast equivalent of South Dakota State, but with a better and deeper talent pool to draw from and more competition for said talent. Even in their best year they would be middle of the pack. That said they are a fine program for a WCC team. People just don't consider the magnitude of the talent differential here. Let's not pretend the Gophers shouldn't be blowing them out of the water, especially at home.

The end of this is going to take an hour. These refs are awful
 


Man, we just have so few rebounders. Seems like every time there is a scuffle where 4 or 5 guys go up, we rarely come down with it.

Agreed. To be fair we have been blowing them out since their initial run.
 

Has Buggs played at all in the second half? For whatever reason Pitino gives him good minutes in the first half, but none in the second.
 

Question of Joey being a liability dead I assume? Lol. Just kidding...it's GopherHole.
 



If Elliot could come out next year and be a 70% FT shooter I would be so happy.
