Durkin has committed to the Gophs

Durkin has committed to the Gophs![]()
Nacho doing work!“Bobby Durkin has great size for his skill set,” Shaw’s scouting report read. “A legit wing, he has a smooth jump shot with a repeatable release and excellent balance. Durkin is able to get into his shot off the bounce or off the catch. He can create space for himself off the live dribble. Durkin is an excellent passer, with vision from multiple spots on the floor.
“He can secondarily initiate in the half-court or create shots as the shot clock winds down. Lateral quickness will be a question, but he gives effort and has an IQ on the defensive end. Durkin is a good rebounder and has an innate toughness. He is someone who could outplay his ranking in college. Durkin averaged 18.4 points on the UAA Next Circuit.”

Go Gophers!!
I'd slide Omot to the 2 since he has the quickness. Durkin or JCJ are both 3/4s and Omot is more a 2/3. We are playing position less ball so it doesn't really matter! Keep going off this momentum and we might have a pretty competitive team (I am always a huge optimist).Bobby boy!!

Slide him into the 2 spot for now
In the end I think it is a moot point because I'd guess we are going to get either Enis or Evans at the 2.I'd slide Omot to the 2 since he has the quickness. That too. However I am now beginning to imagine a full lineup of guys that are 6'7" or 6'8" and can all shoot, dribble, and pass.In the end I think it is a moot point because I'd guess we are going to get either Enis or Evans at the 2.
Where do you put Asuma if Evans signs?Bobby boy!!

Good question.Where do you put Asuma if Evans signs?
Guards the 2 on defense. Evans and Asuma are the primary ball handlers up the court.Where do you put Asuma if Evans signs?
fixed it for you!In the end I think it is a moot point because I'd guess we are going to get Both Enis or Evans.
Put Evans at the 2...then slide Durkin up to the 3 and move Omot to the bench to solidify our depth.Where do you put Asuma if Evans signs?
So you leave him in the starting lineup up as of today?Put Evans at the 2...then slide Durkin up to the 3 and move Omot to the bench to solidify our depth.
Ideally, we find a more polished PG to allow Asuma to come off the bench, too. I'm not as sold on Asuma (yet) as most people are on GH.
Honestly, I've only watched Evans play a whopping two (2) times so I have no clue if he has true PG skills. I know he can shoot, though. So you leave him in the starting line

Then I would go with Evans as my point. I wasn't all that impressed with Asuma although give him the benefit of being a frosh.Honestly, I've only watched Evans play a whopping two (2) times so I have no clue if he has true PG skills. I know he can shoot, though.
And playing in a god-awful offense. His high school team was all about ball movement you will see a much different player than you did last year in Isaac. Then I would go with Evans as my point. I wasn't all that impressed with Asuma although give him the benefit of being a frosh.
100%And playing in a god-awful offense. His high school team was all about ball movement you will see a much different player than you did last year in Isaac.
All six so far have more than 1 year of eligibility left. It's nice to have a roster that they can potentially build on.Bobby boy!!

Wait to see how good he will be with Nikos offense and a bunch of shooters. Asuma will startThen I would go with Evans as my point. I wasn't all that impressed with Asuma although give him the benefit of being a frosh.
At guard!!!!Where do you put Asuma if Evans signs?
Would he start if we get Evans?Wait to see how good he will be with Nikos offense and a bunch of shooters. Asuma will start
Are we assuming Asuma at the point? I can see him as a quality 2 who can handle the ball.In the end I think it is a moot point because I'd guess we are going to get either Enis or Evans at the 2.
Enid played DII. Put an asterisk on the highlights when comparing to DI competition.Currently:
Asuma is currently the point.
Bobby and BJ would be the wings.
JCJ and Grove are the bigs.
So, the weakest spot at the moment is Grove, we need a big who can muscle for position in the B1G.
Need more guards to run Niko’s offense, so maybe we gets Evans or Enis next.
I’m beginning to want Enis over Evans, looks better on the highlights to me.
Where do you put Asuma if Evans signs?
Coming off injury, I’m not presuming too much from Omot.Asuma will come off the bench before Evans or Omot would.

Not sure Asuma is good enough shooter (yet) to start at 2.Are we assuming Asuma at the point? I can see him as a quality 2 who can handle the ball.
I think Asuma excels as a "point" if he is playing with another guy who can handle the ball. I don't love him as the point guard if he is the only ball handler. Are we assuming Asuma at the point? I can see him as a quality 2 who can handle the ball.
