This thread was nothing short of awesome...

However, it did cost me my job. See, I'm self-employed but today at around 4:30 I had to fire myself because I did not get any of my assigned work done and fell further behind. If there is anybody hiring, please contact me through this site as it's all I've got left.

They never said they offered Shaka. They simply said, Shaka informed them that he was declining which I would think was an interview. I am sure UCLA contacted them saying they were interested, and Shaka called them saying no.
 

Wouldn't Shaka have an agent or attorney handling this stuff for him?

Well like I said yesterday Shaka agreed on 1.5 million a year and it came down to if VCU could find the money to do all the other things Shaka wanted done. They did. Shakas assistants are VERY well paid now for an A10 staff and the recruiting budget largely increased.

Shaka considered leaving but wanted to stay in VCU the whole time that is where his heart is. He told many people tonight he thinks he can be the next Jim Calhoun and really put VCU on the amp like he did with Uconn.

Norwood took the news VERY hard and let it put known that hes done with Shaka. I don't think you'll hear about them texting or meeting up for dinner anytime soon. Norwood feels like he took a chance on Shaka several years back and that this time around Shaka back stabbed him in the back.

Two other coaches with Virginia connections have spoke to Minnesota today in both Tony Bennett and Anthony Grant.

To show you how much of a loser Pav is, he was literally in tears when he heard Shaka agreed to terms. What a fat loser.

I don't know what to do now? I feel empty inside now that I don't have constant new posts to read in this thread? LOL, I don't want it to end, it's like a drug, I've gotten hooked and I can't get enough, I want more. I'm starting to feel sick? Would this be what they call going through withdrawal symptoms?! Is there an AA type program I can join now? Maybe grief counseling?!

I hope fans and people understand that part of this coaching search is also a great way for struggling newspapers, unpopular sports reporters and writers and people with a low Twitter following to take advantage of so called "scoops" and "inside sources" that people are looking for and rarely exist to boost their low website numbers and lame profiles.

I am more excited than the next to read about some great scoop or inside information, but let's be real...most of these sources are trolls or sports hacks just making stuff up and trying to take advantage of a news hungry fan base.

Surprised I haven't seen a Bruce Jenner interviews on Friday afternoon tweet.

I hope Norwood lands a great coach but this is the internet....calm down.
 

Grant is worse than Smith. Nobody knows who is or or would want to play for him. It'd be a Dan Monson 2.0 deal. But, typically, Minnesota makes the wrong call. That's why I hope Teague is different and brings in a high-profile coach rather than a guy who is on the hot seat at his old job.

Nearly every coach mentioned would be taking a downgrade to come here. Not hating but that's the state of the program currently.
