Bringing some core guys from NIU, but trying to get one of them hired as HC there.
 



I'm liking this guy more and more as this press conference goes on.
 

Talks about adjusting to personnel - wants to be multiple offense, two backs, spread option, read option. Likes an athletic quarterback, speedy team. Gary Patterson was best man in his wedding?
 

He's open to keeping some Minny staff if he feels they'll help enhance the program. That's a good look.
 

He's winning me over...no going to the rose bowl, no winning 10 games....down to earth is an understatement, he looks and sounds like my retired neighbor!

Just kills me that his first game will be in LA against USC....welcome to big time football coach!
 

Says he will run a base 4-3, but will try to get 8 in the box at times and disguise some stuff. Utilize zone and man pressures. Need a great Def end to pressure and a couple good corners, then you can do a lot of creative things on D.
 

This man knows exactly what he wants. And he plays aggressive defense...which of course burned him in the MACC game lol, but overall, I can definitely get with that.
