NEW MUSIC

Pretty easy to tell from Weathervanes that This Ain't It would quickly be a live anthem for Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit. Here it is from a few days ago joined by a Seattle local and the lead guitar player of Mad Season, Mike McCready.
Newer version of a new song from 2023 with the old choppers from the upcoming Live from the Ryman Vol 2 release.

This Ain't It

I checked this out after a heads up from Dan Patrick and Seton on their radio/tv show by an artist I have never heard of, Stephen Wilson Jr.

I sense it will be a big hit.

I'm a Song

FOX had this tune, from Durry who hails from Lakeville, playing as an outtake during this week's Ohio-Michigan game.

Got around to hearing the final album by 'Brad' (alt/grunge rock band). This song in particular....rules.

But it's a very good album all around.

Gnome has an interesting (and silly) aesthetic. Pretty cool band. They have a lot of fun with their videos.

New WILCO, from their EP, Hot Sun Cool Shroud:

Annihilation

Also, Happy 54th Birthday to the guy behind the kit, Glenn Kotche.

New Jason Isbell is forthcoming in March, a solo acoustic album, Foxes in the Snow.

Bury Me

Not really "new"....but certainly a new band to me. Like all three of their albums. A bunch of really good songs if you like Alternative/Modern Rock. They spin a very 90s sound into a lot of their songs.

This is great. For whatever reason, I've never been able to get into Jason Isbell - I've tried and seen him numerous times, but this is great.

26 years of creating new, slightly different sounding albums, yet you have no doubt it's a Chevelle song.

Chevelle changing their sound significantly would be a New Coke situation. No need to mess with something that's already basically perfect.

I think the new Lorde album, Virgin is quite good.

I dig it.

We've entered the AI stage of music. "The Velvet Sundown" with over 100 million listens is a band that doesn't actually exist.

One week after the new Chevelle album.....we were blessed with a new Deftones.....

......and a new Wolf Alice album.

Also a new Three Days Grace album featuring the return of original lead singer, Adam Gontier.....which I haven't gotten around to listening to yet......but will this weekend.

Porch light…pretty new band that’s first live gig was on their back deck around Dinkytown, they found their lead singer at karaoke at Como Tap. My kids a junior at the U and has seen them a few times at party’s and loves them. The Current has been playing them the last few months. It also seems like that Como neighborhood has a lot of house shows with actual bands which is awesome to hear.

It's almost unbelievable how prolific Charlie Crockett has been. If my count is right, he put out three albums between the time I purchased the concert tickets and when the show was played. Good thing I gave it a good couple listens: he played several selections from it Saturday.

Dollar A Day does not disappoint. This is my favorite song from it. It's a tear-jerker from where I sit.
