So after the final results were posted we got an email from the U stating that we won 4 tickets and passes to the tunnel team (not the field access as listed in the contest). We flew from San Diego to MN (thanks to my mother-in-law for funding that) and picked up the tickets at will call (Section 211 row 13). Went to Sec 125 to meet the tunnel team and go down to have that experience. It was pretty cool to do one time, but I missed the entire band pre-game and national anthem. Interesting side note, while in the tunnel there was a highyl decorated army guy and his family waiting to go out onto the field. After the fly by and national anthem, I heard him tell one of the marketing ladies that he was supposed to be doing the national anthem (whoops!). Went back upstairs (after getting a prized picture of my 5 month old daughter with Goldy) and waited for the video slide show. There was no mention of the winners or anything. They just had half of the pictures go past on the jumbotron in the first half and the other half in the second. Lindsey wasn't on the first half show so we went to meet up with the family on the plaza where we watched the entire game because it was one heck of a party down there and a great view of the game. Overall it was a great time, and thankful for the tickets, but a little disapointed they didn't mention/do recognition for the top 3 since there were some great stories in Bing the WWII pilot and Lindsey the active duty female surgeon.
