Man, by brain hurts trying to get through all this stuff.

MV states that the AD is way behind other BT schools with donations. It would be interesting to see how the UM ranks to other BT schools in other areas such as research, Carlson School of Business, and other highly ranked departments.

Assuming this study isn't skewed by some numbers misunderstanding(Ex: donations are counted in some other category at the U vs other schools), this is simply unacceptable work for an AD.
I mean really really godawful work, and damning numbers. Indiana and Purdue blow us out of the water, Iowa State for god's sake beats us. Just ANOTHER reason Maturi is incompetent and needs to be gone 3 years ago.

killjoy was NOT here, but, this is obviously MORE.....

evdence about how incapable, inadequate, inept and ill-prepared badger joel macturi is in his ill-advised continued tenure as the ad at the U of M. Ditch the bad little ranger NOW. Run him off at the same time prexy b slides out the door in June of 2011.

You really should stay out of the liquor cabinet. :horse:

Maybe Minnesota doesn't have as many successful grads? OK, its Maturi.

I graduated in 74. As far as I can recall, nobody from the athletic department has ever asked me for a donation. If they have asked it was not much of an effort. What kind of programs do we have out there that seek donations?

If I have not been asked then how many thousands of others have not been asked?

The U ranks 9th out of the twelve Big 10 schools in overall alumni donations. Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois are ranked lower.

I take it that you've never run across an Iowa State alum. They would crawl back to Ames to watch their Cyclones in a losing season. I'm surprised that their number is under 30%.

According to the article used in MV's analysis, wisky gets 19 mil, Iowa 26 mil, us 6-7 mil.
So our rivals athletic departments have 15-20 million more from donations than we do, and this isn't a HUGE issue to anyone? Maturi rage! sajnqasjdkadfnui^&#Q*@&#@YIJDBNSbanksjdncnmzk,dmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
