Probably happening in 2024 if they shuffle schedule.Iowa game in primetime NBC on Thanksgiving in US Bank Stadium.
Some posters here heads would explode
The Illinois-NW game, most certainly would be in scope.Yep and Illinois NW in new Chicago dome in a few years when that's done.
Wonder if Neb and Iowa would agree to KC Chiefs stadium? Iowa Illinois in STL?
Speaking of NBC, was watching Peacock thru my cable box earlier this week and up popped a promo for "Big Ten Saturday Night Football" starting this fall.Iowa game in primetime NBC on Thanksgiving in US Bank Stadium.

Would definitely think bothSpeaking of NBC, was watching Peacock thru my cable box earlier this week and up popped a promo for "Big Ten Saturday Night Football" starting this fall.
It was very well done and made it clear that NBC is ready for primetime against whoever ESPN/ABC puts on the board in the same competing time spots.
What I'm not clear on is whether the broadcasts will be simulcast on both the dedicated NBC TV feed...for here in the TC it's KARE...and Peacock (for streaming) or just on Peacock? Methinks the total audience would be significantly greater with both...
Seriously.College games in NFL/neutral site stadiums are the absolute worst.
The only college game at an NFL stadium that doesn't stink is the Cocktail Party in Jacksonville, and the Cocktail Party was in Jacksonville long before the NFL was.
I don't see MN/WI moving off the Saturday after Thanksgiving.Probably happening in 2024 if they shuffle schedule.
Purdue and Indiana
Or Iowa at MN seem logical.
My rat pack attended this game in 2012 (we travel to a traditional rivalry/“big game” every year). Frankly, and in SEC style, this event/game was way over-hyped. No comparison to being on a college campus, in a venerated stadium. Army/Navy in Philly was an exception, of course, for the pageantry but Michie Stadium at West Point is an equally better experience. The only college game at an NFL stadium that doesn't stink is the Cocktail Party in Jacksonville, and the Cocktail Party was in Jacksonville long before the NFL was.
Based on what? Unless Mich St/Penn St want to make their Thanksgiving Friday game an annual deal, it seems like every team is going to have to take their turn.I don't see MN/WI moving off the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
It would make no sense to move it the 2 miles to US Bank to somehow make it "Special".There's no doubt in my mind that if the networks want the Minnesota Wisconsin axe game in prime time to cap off Thanksgiving weekend, that will happen and if they want it in US Bank Stadium, that's also going to happen.
Not really. It can be a huge opportunity to expose programs like ours to new fans. Once every 5 years the final game could be at U.S. Bank stadium. It could be a great atmosphere if done right.College games in NFL/neutral site stadiums are the absolute worst.
It should, maybe we can beat them on a different day if they are miserable like they have been the last two years.I don't see MN/WI moving off the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
I would think the game is going to include teams that could move to a comparable or larger indoor stadium or a west coast game.Based on what? Unless Mich St/Penn St want to make their Thanksgiving Friday game an annual deal, it seems like every team is going to have to take their turn.
It's also the weekend when USC is home team against ND they usually play, so maybe they are ok with such a game, but who knows?

Maybe MD too?I would think the game is going to include teams that could move to a comparable or larger indoor stadium or a west coast game.
Teams in play for home games at night would be UCLA, USC, MN, PUR, IND, and MSU. Add Northwestern and Illinois when a new Chicago stadium is built. I don't see them moving a home game for others to smaller stadiums or out of their home state.
I really don’t see it moving to a neutral site. I see the date moving more than the site.I don't see MN/WI moving off the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Because starting in the dark would likely be worse. Why does it have to be indoors? I'm confused. The Gopher-Badger game has been played outdoors on Thanksgiving Weekend for awhile now and finished in the dark a lot.
Because starting in the dark would likely be worse.
It doesn't have to be indoors, but if the financials work out as least same for the Gophers and potentially more beneficial, my preference would be the Zygi Dome for a game that late in the season.
I am swayed by the Iowa game.
Even if they would want to move it though, not sure how the Prep Bowl contract would shake down. Everything has a price but the MSHSL could make it problematic even if a move were contemplated.
If the money works, the chances are greater than ZERO, even if it's a small to miniscule possibility.I see zero chance the Gophers would agree to play at US Bank Stadium.
If the Big Ten and TV said the Gophers are playing a prime time game in November, the Gophers 100% would say okay, but its going to be cold. I'd love it to be against USC.
Where will the extra money come from? The Vike’s stadium seats just 16,055 more than the Gopher’s. If the extra tickets sold for an average of $100 more, that’s only $1.6 million more revenue, and they won’t get a cut of the concessions or parking. Plus Wisconsin might want a cut too, and then add rent, probably $500,000 or so.If the money works, the chances are greater than ZERO, even if it's a small to miniscule possibility.
I would have thought the same about Mich St moving a game from E Lansing to Detroit, but it happened. That's a much greater distance than UofM/Stadium Village to the Zygi Dome. I've walked it. Many times.
