No, not nuts….. Program just needs a ‘spark’ and some ‘spunk’ to the program. Seems like a real spark plug, even as a 4th Guard off bench for 2 min stretches…….. can see him dishing to P. Payne very easily, (as a preferred walk-on with ability to ‘earn scholy’)

As far as ‘no’ offers, that’s going to change Monday a.m. UMD as a 4yr. starter would be perfect. Guessing Summit League team/s calling Monday a.m.
SCSU coaches were scouting the quarterfinal game. They were sitting right in front of me.

This Kapke kid from Holy Family would've been a good get. Wonder why we didn't offer him. Going to Butler.
Kapke at 6-11 & 250lbs is a talented ball handler who averaged this season 22-pts and 13-rebounds including 3-ponit ability and over 80% on the free throw line will be a star for Bradley....Johnson showed only mild interest in his recruitment even though Kapke wanted to play college BB near home so his parents would be able to easily attend games...

You guys are nuts!!! So you want a 5’9 guard with no offers to get his first offer from the Gophers??? You guys are delusional and clueless. Not to mention…
As a Tommie fan, I don’t even want Tibbets. He’s too small for B10. And if you’re that small, you better be lightning quick, which he isn’t.

gosh, if dls just had ONE other player that could create their own shot they’d be near unbeatable. So well coached on defense

but offensively it’s just Whitlock and pray

Tell that to Markquis Nowell. Listed at 5'8" (which is probably a stretch). Playing on one leg bested MSU. He's got talent, to be sure, but is a hustler and a leader. Luckily K Stste didn't judge him by his height.
🍎 vs. 🍊

He was ranked the 37th best PG in his class (had ten D1 offers) and played his HS ball at St. Pat’s in Elizabeth (has produced a plethora of D1 bucket players and is well known nationally).

Your MN provincialism is showing?

They do, but just don’t seem all that threatening outside of one player, TG just had a little too much for them
Oh, I agree. It’s what has always made them good. They’ll do it again next year. Train everybody, comprehensive skill sets, attentive to detail.

If they get a star great, if not, there still strong. If they get 2 stars, well…. As you said.

I really enjoyed watching the Albany team, great teamwork across the board. No big stars on the team but worked great as a unit. Most fundamental team in the tournament.

Why haven't the Gophers offered Hayden Tibbets from Wayzata. I know he is short and not recognized as a top talent but that guy is a winner. He is fast, athletic has quick hands , great passer, and facilitator and can hit shots. He plays just like Brad Davidson did for Wisconsin. I'm dead serious tge Gophers need a point guard and thus Tibbits is one of the best for three years in the State. That dude is as competitive as F. I know many will not belive he can play at the Big 10 level, but I'd be willing to bet if he joined tge Gophers he would create turnovers and play great defense. What the Hell do the Gophers have to lose on taking a chance. This dude can play the game of basketball, he is really quick.

Please read post 178.
Damn right, I don't give a crap that Tibbits is 5 9 or 5-10. Thorson and Johnson need to watch the tale of the tape and work him out. Tibbits would make our big players better. That kid is quick and has no fear. He is a winner and can play at the Big 10 level. Even a walk on offer, he will win a scholarship.

I still say we should throw an offer at him. I think he will be good enough to play in the Big 10.
Bob Loblaw is right, that Tibbits is a winner and can help us. He has.such quick hands and is such a pest. That dude can help the Gophers. At least a walk on offer.

First time I have seen Tibbits play....he is 100% not a scholarship offer, way too small. Walk on sure, but no way you offer him a scholarship. #23 from Wayzata however is very impressive as a junior.

Absolutely agreed - Pump brakes on Tibbets.

Winter is the best player in this State Tournament and it’s not even close. How do we lose a 6 11 player when both parents went to U of M.
Recruiting a top 20 guy from California maybe didn’t help. Younger generation doesn’t have affinity to U like we do for a lot of reasons.

Easy section to win, but good for RTR. They have had some good teams. Hard to see them winning this year, but at least they're in.
not an easy section to win. there only loss this year was to Dawson-Boyd who was 26-4. 2 of those losses were to RTR. look at the Class A champions and runners up the last 20 years. RTR, SouthWest Christian, Ellsworth, etc. there is always 3-5 good teams in this section. i would say it is the best class A section in the state.
