Good heavens. I wish the mods would just take this thread down. The lady got her say on twitter- no need for it here. I loved Mo and I think the coach did as well.

All he got was free education.

Handshakes spread germs. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

What happened to cause this type of statement.

There seems to be a feeling of entitlement amoung the seniors, EE being dissatisfied which is understandable but outwardly showing it which is not, Mathiu not wanting to play in the CBI because it isn't good enough, the Walker thing whatever it is about, life is about to get tougher for them, there were 1700 people laid off from Target worrying about how they are going to provide for there families, not about getting minutes, or getting in the NIT. In a year or two I am sure they all will be wishing they were still playing be it the Big Ten or the CBI.

On the other hand, there's nothing wrong with a parent expressing this kind of sentiment either. Maybe Teague will include that little costless nicety in the future if someone brings this to his attention.

And as far as the 1700 people being laid off by Target, unless you or a family member are one of the them, I doubt that's had any influence on your behavior either.

That's sort of the point I was making elsewhere about Elliott's sulking. Maybe he ends up skating through life without any adversity, maybe everything goes his way from this point on; if so, he'll be the first in human history. Knowing what I know about him and the way he's handled this, I would not hire the dude. Pitino's right, Kendall Shell is the guy you want to hire.

Don't know how to feel about this one, he was in the building the fundraising suite is right by where we sit, don't think that it would be out of this world to expect to shake 5 seniors hands. On the other hand Walker did get suspended for something that has never been made public so there may be some bad feelings. I think Teague is a good fundraiser and he seems to have hired the right coach for the womens bb program but the jury is still out on the mens side. I know he handled the North Carolina thing badly and was suprised by the backlash, then scheduled the TCU game without even asking Kill. I get the feeling from hearing him on the radio that he would jump at another BCS level job.

Actually yes there is via twitter. My guess is that if Mrs Walker needed to air her grievance to Teague via phone or email or to Pitino personally- they would have listened. Putting it out on twitter is a low class move. Now maybe whatever she perceives Teague or Pitino did was low class-nothing is fixed by this.

My guess is that she favored Tubby and remains mad that he was replaced so she plans to blow off a little steam. Looks like this is her second go at it since the season ended (she aired out her defensive scheme for the last play as well).

Or as my late grandfather used to say: "A fartin horse never tires. A fartin man is the man to hire."

Or she had a conversation with one or both of them and wasn't satisfied by it. IIRC, Maturi was always on the court on senior day. It's the little things in life that people remember. Wouldn't have killed him to show up for ten minutes and shake some hands.

I'd rather have an AD that's good at the big things (raising money, hiring coaches) than the little things. But it shouldn't be a choice. Teague seems awfully clueless about how he is perceived sometimes. Whether something small like this, the UNC fiasco, or not bothering to reach out to Ellis and Foster when Tubby was fired.

I dunno. There are a lot of what-ifs to this. What if Pitino wants the focus of the program away from Teague and Teague agrees it is best to stay in the background?

I think EE and parents have more to be mad about. Playing a minute on senior day seems worse than not shaking the AD's hand.

Bad, maybe you know more than me but what did EE do that is so bad? He did not quit the team, get dismissed, commit a crime? As far as I know, he doesn't have enough bench hype for people's liking. That is a pretty severe criteria for saying you would never hire him.

No it wouldn't have - and if he blew it he blew it. However this is Mrs. Walkers second cheap shot via twitter this week so my guess is that she is grinding an axe that cuts a little deeper than the year end handshake.

Bga1, we all saw what he did to Foster and Elis. I think the person who is classless here is not Mrs. Walker. I think most parents would demand the same thing.

Seriously you wouldn't hire him? You know nothing about EE and when you work at some thing like basketball for 10+ years I think he has a right to be pissed off about it. Not saying he should or shouldn't have played more just let the dude be upset

As I said- she may be right, she may be wrong. This twitter bit is not the high road.

Last night he should have played more.

Of course she is. If the mother of the player who benefited the most from Pitino's arrival is pissed that is an indication that the unhappiness is pervasive. There have been a series of clues going as far back as Joe Coleman (who should have been thrilled to play in Pitino's system) that indicate a lack of stability, control, morale and makes the 2014-2015 record seem inevitable in retrospect.

You know it was a tough year when a players mom criticizing the AD for not shaking hands is the topic of the day.

Not sure if this is a shot at the players recruited under the previous regime or a shot at the current regime but if it is a shot at the current regime the team did win 25 games and the NIT last year so not sure how "...clues as far back as Joe Coleman..." have any indication of what this year was to bring.

Teague did try to shake Mo's hand. Mo mishandled it.

after Uwe Blab's wife gave birth to their first child, she got a note from Knight saying don't let Uwe handle the child, he has hands of stone

That one was good definitely got me to lol.

You mean like merge two athletic departments, one headed by a Chris Voelz; or having a football stadium built on his watch; or hiring Jerry Kill? Might even add hiring Tubby, a move than got damn near everyone excited. Didn't like things like some coaches' extensions or the deal he made for himself at the end, but this narrative of yours as Maturi never getting anything done continues to be false.

The-Real-GW?

Mrs. Walker must be sipping the syrup..?

I'd hire Isaiah Dahlman. It must have been a bitter pill for HIM to swallow after many years in basketball, but he handled his plight with class and grace.

So Mo's mom voiced her thoughts via Twitter. Good for her - better than 'sweeping her feelings under the rug.' Maybe she feels better now..don't have a problem with that. Others probably do and that's just fine. A real non-issue in my world.

Do how does Pitino get brought into this? I just see the AD comment.

Maybe he didn't shake their hands cause they were all Tubby's recruits?
