Big Ten power rankings: Week 8

9. Minnesota (4-2, 0-2, last week: 10): Minnesota is a different team, a more dangerous team, when senior quarterback MarQueis Gray is on the field. Had Gray stayed on the field for the entire game against Northwestern, Minnesota might have come out with a victory. The Gophers ultimately made too many mistakes to win, and their start to the game was a disappointment after they had two weeks to prepare. But if Gray can get healthy, Minnesota has some other components in place, namely a solid pass defense, to rack up at least two more wins and reach bowl eligibility.

Go Gophers!!

Not even close to as excited for this game as I was even 2 or 3 weeks ago. I'll be at the game none the less. Just hoping for a competitive non-heartbreak game. Not even going to get my hopes up for a W.

I'm satisfied with beating the spread here. I just don't see a victory in this one. Wisconsin is much better than they were 3 weeks ago.

It's all about their running game. If we can maintain it (I don't think we will be able to stop them all together), we have a chance. Their passing game is not very good at all.

If anyone is reading the press-conference notes on Twitter, it seems like half the team is out this week with injury.

Questionable:
Marcus Jones
DCT
Isaac Fruechte
Derrick Wells
Gray
Roland Johnson
Ed Olson
Foster Bush

Not good...I don't like our chances with a half broken squad. You never say never, but man, those are some key players that are banged up.

First and only question should have been: How scared are you to be playing Wisconsin?

@FSNtylermason: #Gophers LB Mike Rallis, on rivalry with #Badgers: "If you don't ever win, it's not really a rivalry."

Go Gophers!!
