Michigan v powerhouse NJIT

Down 3 with 57 seconds left

This could be a pretty big obstacle to overcome for Michigan this early

How does a team beat 'Cuse and then lose to NJIT and EMU immediately afterwards? Gotta wonder what it will be like in the bars now that EMU students can walk around with a little swag. The kids from UM are gonna have to slink into the bar. Man it's gotta suck to be a Michigan alum right now.

Eastern Michigan is a pretty solid team, but I don't like seeing the B1G lose to the MAC.

I hope Spike Albrecht is playing 26 minutes at the point when we play them as well. The kid can shoot but man he cannot handle the ball. Then again, looking at numbers, it doesn't seem like any guard for Mich can handle the ball. SS, what's the impact on SOS for the B10 with these 2 losses?

As Woozee mentioned above, Eastern Michigan is expected to be pretty decent (was top 100 last season). Still a bad loss, but not the head-scratcher like NJIT was.

I always want the Big Ten to perform well outside of the league, it helps everyone, but I don't worry about other teams' bad losses. As long as the Gophers avoid 'em. ... that's my concern. Primarily I'm looking for quality wins (top 50, top 100) from the Gophers. Right now there's only one (Georgia) that has a chance to be significantly helpful.

For what it's worth, I still expect to see Michigan in the NCAA tourney. Not looking real good right now, but I like Beilein's track record of team improvement as a season goes along.

EMU beating Michigan didn't help EMU much on Sagarin. may have even backed them up a bit

an aside, took me a while to find UNLV on Sagarin
