I'm just posting, and leaving it up for discussion. I hope he doesn't go anywhere.
 

He should go... what the hell does he want the U to do? Even if Maturi and Tubby are 110% sure he's innocent they can't let him play until the process plays out in court. Honest to god, who would take Trevor if he were to leave right now???
 

Once again...these are Facebook statuses, often we don't even know the context in which they're posting. Everyone's posts this week were regarding the cold weather, and hating it. Should I stay or go? Could be living situation, could be wanting to leave class, a relationship...anything.

Two things.

He hates the weather and can't spell decisions.

For this we needed a new thread?
 

To me, sports fans, the only good thing about FB and Twitter is that I don't go to them.

GopherHole is much better.

I don't believe in looking too deep into Facebook posts, but these don't look good. Every day it just gets gloomier and gloomier around Gopher Nation.
Well, at least we have Elliot Elliason coming next season. He can probably spell "decisions" correctly. Who cares what kind of player he is. He's 6-11 and has a 4.0 GPA.
 

As for the first post of the weather...I can guarantee you that is in reference to the fact that he wants to live in the south/warm with his family, so that would be after school...

The second post did somewhat scare me, it's not anything to do with a relationship since he is engaged and has a child with that lady. I'm just guessing he's got a lot of things going through his head right now and is very frustrated with not being able to get this case closed...I have a feeling this is as far as he'll go to leaving though, normally he's always been talking about how he has to stay strong during this tough time...
 

perhaps its not leaving for good? maybe he has an offer to go on a nice warm vacation over winter break :p
 

The second comment could mean anything from changing schools to if he should go out with his buddies tonight and everything in between.
 



I vote that moderators delete any Facebook status threads that are like this one with no concrete direction...as the gopherhole has been able to piss off another athlete by posting this status on here and taking it out of context (as trev's new status says)...this is how the new era of social networks sites and forums has changed the game...
 

I say the mods don't do anything. If you have a beef with it then just don't read it. Problem solved. It's worth mentioning at the very least and I found it at least somewhat informative since I had no intention of monitoring his FB status. I just fail to see the solution as deleting what others post especially when there is much worse stuff in other threads than this.

how about this...athletes that have 1000, 2000 or even more friends that the don't even know on facebook, stop posting stuff that can be interpreted a million different ways. you know people watch your stuff, and post it and talk about it...how about just not posting questionable statuses? this is actually something tubby and others should be telling them from day one, especially when you're being investigated for a crime.
 

saw trevor today walking around in his Marquette Basketball Sweatshirt, could that mean he's upset with the U?
 



I saw him wearing (probably) the same sweatshirt early last summer after he committed to Minnesota. I don't think he's trying to send a message, I think it's just something he likes to wear.
 


Trevor has 3 choices:

Stay at the U with 3 years (including this year) to play 2

Declare for the NBA draft

Transfer - he will only have 1 year to play.
 

You left out the dreaded fourth choice---actually more an alternative. Trevor could be in prison if he don't beat the rap.
 

Declare for the NBA draft? I don't think he's considered an NBA prospect and even if he was, the felony charges would keep many NBA front offices from even considering him.

Well today he was wearing a sweater vest (cook look, btw)...so that obviously means he's going to OSU and is switching over to play Football for Tressel. :cool02:

I'm not saying he's NBA material. I am just saying that is one of his 3 options. If he declares, he probably won't be drafted.

Stephen Curry was an unranked 3 star. No way he would ever make it to the NBA....right?

That doesn't negate my point. Probably 98% of three star or less recruits never make it to the NBA. Curry is exception not rule, but he had a good pedigree in that his dad played NBA ball and unlike Trevor he stayed at one school and wasn't charged with a felony.
 




I don't understand why people complain about people posting facebook statuses and rumors. How lame would this board be without rumors? Should we just analyze each game and have people talk crap about Nolen, our half-court offense, and poor ft shooting? Plus it's fun to see Myron run with the stuff on here.
 

I have to confess, I agree with undeground629. This stuff can be pretty entertaining and sometimes informative. Who would have known about the little tussle Nolen and Westbook had out west if it hadn't been for a poster?

So YES I believe Trevor has delayed his trial and this is what I believe the media has said. So whether or not Trevor committed a felony, he is responsible for delaying the trial.
