KwesiNot an NFL starter qb. How did this happen?
The line was so bad that Detroit was able to rush 3’or 4 and absolute blanket the Vikings receivers.I was at the Detroit game. Nobody was open. Had no time either. No turnovers. Over 50 percent completion percentage.
Seattle game was terrible but really put on a bad spot.
Agree can be a quality backup at some point.
One play Jefferson went to one corner end zone and Addison the other. Both were double teamed. Nobody else was open. Not being evaluated fairly is 100% accurate. The line was so bad that Detroit was able to rush 3’or 4 and absolute blanket the Vikings receivers.
Max is not being evaluated fairly. He will be a solid NFL qb in time.
Well...he was 3rd string and the other 2 got injured.... That's how that works. Not an NFL starter qb. How did this happen?
Kelly was just an awful signing. Indy had to be laughing to unload that one.
Fries has been fine. He played all year (I know, not ideally the thing you tout). I'd be surprised if an objective, unbiased grading service had him graded lower than Ingram.
I don't doubt you, just wondering if there is a free link somewhere to these grades or if they're behind a paywall. Thanks!Ed Ingram has been routinely graded as one of the best run blocking guards in the NFL this year. It has been a big story, his improvement.
Ingram absolutely ranks ahead of Will Fries, who has been pretty bad most of the year.
Vikings probably need to find a new offensive coach.

Some of this of course is who you're going up against and the blocking schemes/rules being run, but definitely an improvement.Ingram sucked ass for the Vikings. Not sure what changed, but it didn't seem like a loss when he left.

Mind sharing where these numbers come from?
Also are you able to show that table for Fries? Thank you!

Here's Fries. It looks like last year was the anomaly and this year is back to the norm.

Agreed, Justin Jefferson will startJJ had a full practice today so now looks like he'll probably start against the Packers.
I'm sure he is motivated to get out there to try and show he can be the guy going forward. Going to be interesting to see what the Vikings do at the QB position in the off season.JJ had a full practice today so now looks like he'll probably start against the Packers.
max has already exceeded my greatest expectations of his nfl careerWell...he was 3rd string and the other 2 got injured.... That's how that works.
max has already exceeded my greatest expectations of his nfl career
I assumed his best case scenario was 4-7 years as a 2 or 3 with 0 career starts
This will be his third career start.
If he lasts for 2 more seasons on the active roster for 3+ games, he gets a pension I believe
I thought JJ wasn’t going to play. I might be wrong. It does not sound like Brosmer will get the 3rd start this week, though things can change rapidly with JJ McCarthy's health status.
Max does not deserve to be on a roster. Love the guy but he is not an NFL QB.If McCarthy can’t ever play he can’t be the guy.
They’re going to bring in an expensive #2 to compete
Which really leaves max in a nice position to be number 3
The thing that could get him is if they have a guy they love still available in round 2-3 to be the third string
If Max played for a different school no one would be making excuses for him.Max can't catch a break, he's made more than his share of mistakes but he isn't getting any help from receivers or the line.
