Max

Brosmer just seems like a great human being....may not last long as a QB in the league but dude will go far in life.

Have always thought that being able to do things like this would be one of the coolest parts about being "famous" or having any sort of platform. To be able to make someone happy who is going through a really tough time just by showing up and giving a little bit of your time would be an awesome ability to have.

He'll make a great coach someday if that's what he wants to do.

Here we go.......Looks like JJ hurt again on the play that led to Nubin's TD....

And once again Max gets screwed having to come in with an O-Line already missing Darisaw and now missing the center as well.

Hopefully things go better for Max then the last time he was out there.

Pretty sure JJ broke a finger or something. Max will get the next 2.5 games unless KOC stupidly goes to Wolford.

He was in a ton of pain on that shot they showed when the trainer was looking at his hand so something is definitely wrong with his throwing hand.

If something is broken then good chance Max gets to finish out the year as long as he can at least show he can not get destroyed the way he did in Seattle.

Brosmer looking like a legit backup QB today.

I think he can have a decent length career in the nfl.
He probably runs the scout well. And he is competent enough to come in in spots.

Obviously his first start went….poorly

First start was in an absolutely brutal situation, but I bet Max learned a lot from all the things that went wrong.

Looks much more comfortable out there today which is good because if JJ is out he is hopefully showing enough for them to let him run the show for the final couple weeks.

If you take care of the football and hit check downs you’re instantly in the top 2/3 of nfl QBs

Brosmer looked a lot more composed than in his first start, which is understandable. He managed to get off a few throws that he would have swallowed in the game against the Seahawks.

Brosmer actually played decent in the first start until the worst play ever

Not a big jump to say Max looked immensely better today than against Seattle. Of course the caliber of the competition is a huge part of that but I think the jitters got the best of him in that first start too. The rest of the offense seemed more together too. Certainly part of that is momentum.

Also liked that Jefferson made that sideline catch as there was not chance for interception on the throw. He hustled and performed and looked like the star he is. Just nice to see.

Really hope however that JJ can come back to finish off the year. It's just better for the Vikes if he does. If not then Max will continue to get his chance. Since this is a short week to the next game, very good chance we'll see Max at the helm again. Ski U Skol!

They could broaden the playbook a little for him. He’s capable of more.
I feel like Max and JJ are sometimes suffering from what I see with the Gophers OCs sometimes ... the offensive staff break down they break down the playbook to make more "playable" plays ... but they go so far that the defense can easily defend every play and the QB is maybe worse off.

Neither team has had an o-line the last 2 years either which doesn't help.

Maybe it’s bad juju to even suggest it but I hope Brosmer gets a few more chances to resurrect his career rather than have the runner up play to the butt fumble be his lasting legacy.

Didn’t watch but JJ seems a little cursed? Nothing broken is good but can be lesser of two evils sometimes. Something torn?

Max flat out can't do worse than JJ and I don't think he will. He might not have that pure NFL body and high end athleticism, but the guy is an actual quarterback. Unlike JJ, who was basically just an athlete.

Under Max the Vikings are averaging 1 point per half in which he's been the QB since the Seattle start.

On the glass half full side, the scoring improved today, he protected the ball and it was good enough for an NFL victory.

His half today consisted of 3 drives, one of which ended in a kneeldown, one stalled due to a holding penalty, and one had conservative playcalling at the end as they were happy to take the field goal.

In other words, Brosmer has still failed to lead the Vikings to a Touchdown.😉

He did what was needed to secure the victory and protected the ball. Indeed the last drive was just as good as scoring.
