Brosmer just seems like a great human being....may not last long as a QB in the league but dude will go far in life.
He'll make a great coach someday if that's what he wants to do.Brosmer just seems like a great human being....may not last long as a QB in the league but dude will go far in life.
Have always thought that being able to do things like this would be one of the coolest parts about being "famous" or having any sort of platform. To be able to make someone happy who is going through a really tough time just by showing up and giving a little bit of your time would be an awesome ability to have.
He was in a ton of pain on that shot they showed when the trainer was looking at his hand so something is definitely wrong with his throwing hand.Pretty sure JJ broke a finger or something. Max will get the next 2.5 games unless KOC stupidly goes to Wolford.
First start was in an absolutely brutal situation, but I bet Max learned a lot from all the things that went wrong.Brosmer looking like a legit backup QB today.
I think he can have a decent length career in the nfl.
He probably runs the scout well. And he is competent enough to come in in spots.
Obviously his first start went….poorly
If you take care of the football and hit check downs you’re instantly in the top 2/3 of nfl QBsFirst start was in an absolutely brutal situation, but I bet Max learned a lot from all the things that went wrong.
Looks much more comfortable out there today which is good because if JJ is out he is hopefully showing enough for them to let him run the show for the final couple weeks.
Brosmer actually played decent in the first start until the worst play everBrosmer looked a lot more composed than in his first start, which is understandable. He managed to get off a few throws that he would have swallowed in the game against the Seahawks.
I feel like Max and JJ are sometimes suffering from what I see with the Gophers OCs sometimes ... the offensive staff break down they break down the playbook to make more "playable" plays ... but they go so far that the defense can easily defend every play and the QB is maybe worse off. They could broaden the playbook a little for him. He’s capable of more.
Neither team has had an o-line the last 2 years either which doesn't help.I feel like Max and JJ are sometimes suffering from what I see with the Gophers OCs sometimes ... the offensive staff break down they break down the playbook to make more "playable" plays ... but they go so far that the defense can easily defend every play and the QB is maybe worse off.
Max flat out can't do worse than JJ and I don't think he will. He might not have that pure NFL body and high end athleticism, but the guy is an actual quarterback. Unlike JJ, who was basically just an athlete.
His half today consisted of 3 drives, one of which ended in a kneeldown, one stalled due to a holding penalty, and one had conservative playcalling at the end as they were happy to take the field goal.Under Max the Vikings are averaging 1 point per half in which he's been the QB since the Seattle start.
On the glass half full side, the scoring improved today, he protected the ball and it was good enough for an NFL victory.
In other words, Brosmer has still failed to lead the Vikings to a Touchdown. His half today consisted of 3 drives, one of which ended in a kneeldown, one stalled due to a holding penalty, and one had conservative playcalling at the end as they were happy to take the field goal.
