I hope Maturi is just trying to save some money to build us a basketball practice facility or something - because this hire does nothing to excite people right now.

Do we need a practice facility to practice shooting freethrows?

If he gets the guys he needs for his system and coaches them up, he'll be successful. That seems to be the way things work.

Rich Rodriguez has demonstrated that even with talent it doesn't guarantee that you will win.
