Koi Perich Transfer Portal

If true, I just didn’t seem to me like he was having as much fun this year.
I only watched half the games and didn’t think he was all that great. His freshman year he was awesome.

He needs more discipline. I think he’ll get it, but without, he cannot play both ways. Just D and special teams.

I also read, he will enter explore options, but may return.

This is why I am starting to despise college sports. We did everything right short of making the playoff. I get it from the kids perspective, teams like TTU ORE OSU MIA just have unlimited funds so it's hard to say no. I like my job but if I could get 2x-3x to leave, I'd do it. Its just gross
As another guy mentioned above, it’s gross to get pissed pounded by 40 3 times and squeak by shitty teams like Purdue in Michigan State. Enjoyed the hell out of his freshman year and happy we had that.

He said as a recruit that if he could have his way he’d skip college and go right to the Vikings.

So clearly winning is not important to him.

And with that think I'm done attending any games til Coyle and whoever the current female president is are gone
Seriously? This is the straw that breaks the camels back? Sure we can use more NIL, but this specifically isn't a Mark Coyle issue. They could probably match the NIL $$ if they really wanted to, but it wouldn't be a smart allocation of $$.

If he explores his options and comes back, great.
If he doesn't then we can use that money for OL or DT.

It's a loss and it's unfortunate but I still like our outlook for next year. Smith coming back was unexpected and a bigger impact IMHO

Twitter says he has multiple big time suitors and it will be hard to keep him.

I knew something was up in the Bowl game with him. When he was tossing the ball to officials, it was like he was throwing the ball into PJ'S face.

With how many players go in portal you are going to always find a replacement option. Might not be as good but there will be options.

That’s a good point. Perich is probably off to the nfl after next year if he has another solid year.

I was hoping he’d stay 3 years before going NFL while knowing he might be using the Gophs to get playing time early before jumping. He would have been gone by next season at the latest. Gophs got two good years. I enjoyed them.

Why would he have played in the bowl game? Makes zero sense to play in the prestigious Rate Bow if you’re planning on transferring…

He’s left option to come back. He was frustrated because he knew it was an opportunity to showcase skills.

It’s money and bigger stage.

Who knows, one last go around with the fellas? Even though I didn’t think he had as much fun this year and as last playing football is fun.

The # of players who have entered the portal and then gone back to their original team is virtually 0.
I wouldn’t say it’s virtually zero, but I don’t like our odds in this case. Maybe 10% chance at best, just my gut feeling. Emmet Johnson is an example of someone who entered and then stayed with Nebraska. It happens a fair bit.
