Ughhhh. I don't know how the weather became such a big topic, but this is *so* dumb, I mean c'mon. Chris Berman and the yahoos on the ESPN pregame show have just been going on and on about the weather for tonight's game, like Minneapolis is the only cold weather city in the NFL, or this is the only NFL game ever to have been played in snowy and cold conditions? :rolleyes:

People are just being ridiculous about this. This is football, so Kluwe and his boys need to man up, shut their damn mouths and go play the game. Stop freaking crying already. The Dome collapsing was an act of God that no one could have foreseen, so deal with it and act like a man about it.

The field is horrible. I thought everyone would have a blown ACL by now.......

Surprised no one has mentioned the fans booing War Craft Punter before and after his first punt.
 

I loved the booing after his 30 some yard punt! It was the old LB coach that is on KFAN (burscish sp?) who said the field was in great shape, softer than the old dome filed.

The announcers keep saying the booing is because The War Craft Whiner is kicking it out of bounds and away from Hester.

Uh, Madieu's concussion was a direct result of taking a Matt Forte leg to the head. Favre's, who knows? Chances are decent you're going to have concussion-type symptoms when you get tossed on your head regardless of the type of field you're on.
 


Do you think Kluwe regrets ever saying anything? He's topped McKinley as my most hated current Viking player.

"Hated." Wow. So you hate him for saying that the field - which was not designed to be used in these conditions - where the soil has been frozen for several weeks - may be dangerous. I don't understand the huge outcry.

Maybe he shouldn't have said it, but it hardly seems like a capital offense.

There's no shame in the building not being perfect for these conditions. It wasn't designed to be. Plus, he's a pretty damn good punter.

Exactly. If he'd said 'Gee it looks like it might be a little slick' it wouldn't have ended up on the front of the Star Tribune and no one would have made a big deal. Instead he had to be a whiny melodramatic b!tch.

For some reason I lost respect for Kluwe after his comments. Just leave well enough alone, yeah it is cold, the field is frozen. I could see if an actual player said something, but the punter...

It's capital enough.

New flash, ITS FOOTBALL. CAPS LOCK = CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL. AND FOOTBALL IS DANGEROUS.

Kluwe needs to worry about hitting 85 and getting that toon geared for Cata raids. Not the surface of a field for a sport that's dangerous.
