Kill Needs Fans to "Step Up" to Iowa

losing by 20 in the 1st 10 min of an IA game kinda kills the mood.

You and your sister Debbie Downer must be the life of ever party. I expect you would complain if they hung you with a new rope.

I'm trying to follow your logic... You support cheering for the team only if they are "ready to go," seem to say it shouldn't be close, but predict it will be. And it sounds like you're disappointed with NW and Purdue games. I think when JK said he knew Gopher fans would step up, he was talking about somebody else.

First off I never said you only cheer for the team if they are ready to go. My point was that if the team really wants to get the fans into the game starting fast is key. Or are you going to pretend like the atmosphere at a stadium doesn't change when the home team comes our flat or falls behind early?

I think this will be a very close game that is also very winnable IF the team plays like it is capable of. As for the Northwestern and Purdue games I am thrilled we won but did not think we played very well in either of those games. An effort similar to that against Iowa and we won't win tomorrow. The best 4 teams we will play this year outside of TCU are all still waiting for us on the schedule so this is the time when we will see if this team has actually taken a step forward or a step backward in year 4.

103, HERE!!!!!! ROLL CALL!!!!!!!!!

152 is like the little engine that could. They will be loud and crazy!!

The sports teams I've followed or played on rarely -- if ever -- played like they're capable. My point is if things are a little off, as they usually are for ALL teams, the mood of the crowd does have some impact. If the fans remain raucous and supportive when something goes wrong, it can really lift a team. JMHO.

Section 112 checking in. After two hours of tailgating and several Bloody's...I'll be ready to go!

The 103 Row 10 'Beer Guys' as we're called, will be full throttle!

WE HATE IOWA!

Nice! We are row 13 in 103!

A buddy that is usually with our group resembles a sasquatch/Amish person. Hard to miss.

Just remember during the Iowa Chant

Squawk eyes: I
Gophers: Hate!!!!
Squawked and Gophers: I -O
Squawked: A!!!

It works out pretty well.
